Came in for lunch a couple days ago. Had the hamburger and my friend had the chicken burger. atmosphere was nice, waitress seemed really uninterested. improperly dressed, like she just rolled out of bed. When we asked for lemon for our drinks she did an audible sigh and walked off. The food itself was good, The hamburger was moist amd juicy, not burnt at all. i would come back for the food, but not for the staffing.

I dined here last week whilst visiting Alberta on holiday. I wanted to eat steak being that Calgary is beef country so I had their New York strip. The meat was wonderfully juicy and soft and I enjoyed it immensely. I ordered a Jack Daniels sauce to go with it but this was a little too salty unfortunately, which distracted from total enjoyment. I also thought the portion sizes were a bit on the thin size. We were still hungry after the main course so we ordered desserts. there were only three to choose from if memory serves, but when they came they were tiny. The staff were pleasant and polite however. When the bill came, although we’d enjoyed the meal we thought that $ 80 for mains, dessert and refill fountain sodas was a bit steep, especially as portions were very controlled. For this reason although I enjoyed the meal I wouldn’t rush back to Oliver’s again, I can find good food and better value elsewhere

We had a group of 15 people visiting the area for an evening meal. The service was efficient and friendly. Everyone in the group enjoyed their meals. I had the duck breast. Best I have had in a long time.

Love this place! service impeccable. food to die for. had scallops and the stuffed chicken. it was moist and all the ingredient flavors came through nicely. I attempted to duplicate this recipe at home because it is so amazing. turned out pretty good and is one of my favorite dishes. Please try this restaurant you won’t regret it

A terrific spot for a Mom bd lunch. Ahi Tuna was seared nicely and had a fruity yet not acidic miso dressing. Delicious and delicate. The burger Mom had was perfect in size and condiments. She loved its portion size. Service was sufficien, friendly and we were not left wanting anything. The wine list looked well appointed to anyone wanting to imbibe at lunch… but not us. A fine place to recommend.

The waiter was really patronizing, he kept correcting us! My wife’s house pizza was shockingly bad, way too dry. My meal wasn’t too bad, but I felt they could have done way better, with the waiter being the way he was too, didn’t have too good an experience.

I’ve driven by here several times but haven’t ever stopped in until recently. I went with the pizza after hearing good things but I wish I could say I loved it. The crust is not my favorite — it’s a hard, cracker like corn meal type thing. I loved the topping selections — mangos… brie… fresh basil… mmm! I wish I remember the exact combo I picked but I was sure it would be a major winner. Unfortunately though, they cut their pieces so large the flavors weren’t mingling in a way they could have for maximum punch. So I was let down a bit. The sauce was bland — I’m glad I paid the premium to add fresh basil as a topping because it was critically needed for some seasoning. Service was acceptable. Kitchen was slow for a midweek lunch that wasn’t busy. Pricing wasn’t outrageous but I would have been happier to pay it with a bit better tasting food product. Have you ever had a meal where you want something sweet for dessert but they didn’t impress you enough to want to get dessert there? It was like that… so we went elsewhere for a sweet treat. I wasn’t put off by anything really but I also wasn’t wowed. I don’t think a craving would get me back in the door but I wouldn’t purposefully stay away.

The ambience is great, the service was great… but the food was a mixed bag. The Los Cabos shrimp appetizer was amazing and I’d highly recommend it, but the sweet chilli chicken appetizer wasn’t great. My chicken tacos were very«meh», although my dining partner’s Mediterranean chicken was outstanding. Both of us agreed that the vegetable sides were pretty mediocre. My raspberry lemonade cocktail was also outstanding. Like I said, overall it was a mixed bag. Some aspects were amazing, other aspects were disappointing.

My parents, daughter and I came for lunch. With such a nice, sunny warm late-September day we opted for a patio table. The service was very good but with the luncheon entrée price points between $ 14.50 — $ 20.00 for salads and sandwiches I expected better food. I ordered the grilled chicken panini with brie, strawberries and orange chipotle mayo on rosemary focaccia. The only taste I extracted from the panini was the overwhelming flavour of rosemary. The chicken was thin and overcooked and the brie and orange chipotle mayo combined to form a slippery lubricant that managed to facilitate the ejection of the contents from the focaccia with every bite. The yam fries were nicely seasoned but lacked the crispiness that I prefer. My Mom ordered the Ahi tuna salad. The seared tuna was prepared well but the salad was very overdressed and she ended up leaving most of the greens. My Dad said his pesto chicken quesadilla with the side salad was a-ok and my daughter’s roast beef panini had a generous portion of shaved roast beef and she said it wasn’t too bad. I suspect that if we had received this food inside the dining room rather than on the patio in the 25 degree sunshine I would have been less forgiving of the food’s deficiencies and you might have seen a two instead of a three star review.

Ate there tonight and I have to say that I was really impressed. The food was great and the service was wonderful. We were there at dinner on a Saturday and it was steady but not crazy so we weren’t rushed out. I had the Thai sesame chicken and it was very good. The waitress knew the menu and was able to make suggestions based on out likes/dislikes. She was attentive but not overly pushy or intrusive. She really made us feel welcome and not like just another table. My only complaint was that the air conditioning was on even though it was a cool rainy night. It wasn’t tremendously cold, but I might bring a light sweater next time. There was one table with kids but I would say that the menu might be more appealing to grown-up palates. No plain chicken nuggets. I ran into a friend at the restaurant who had driven from south Calgary to go there for dinner that night. Worth the trip for sure.
