I ordered the three pigs burger. It exceeded my expectations. It had the right amount of gooey goodness and nice flavors. Fries were so good that ketchup almost ruined them. Get into flipburger soon, you wont regret it

Best burger I have had in Halifax. Big patty, toasted sesame bun, and best quality condiments. Blue cheese is generous and creamy good. Always full on one burger. Great menu. Great service. Clean, bright surroundings. Worth the price.

First time visit. Restaurant is clean and the staff were very friendly. We ordered the weekly special hamburger and poutine. Taste was good. My hamburger and fries were not hot but not cool enough to complain. My wife’s order didn’t get rung in but they recovered quickly and made it right. We will come back for another visit.

This place came with a lot of hype which it very nearly lived up to! A solid burger, unfortunately I’ve yet to try the other burger only gourmet-esque places for a real comparison(relish, boom burger, ace, etc)

For the price they definitely have the best burger combo hands down. Fresh quality burgers and fries that could have come out of a sit down restaurant. The burger customization is also huge! Tons of options and cheeses. They also have some of the best milkshakes around. Ordering a milkshake with a burger combo is a fantastic deal and experience. Being right next to McDonald’s, I can’t see much reason to get a Big Mac over a combo here unless you need the drive through.

I’ve had their burger which I really liked and thought I’d indulge this time and get poutine. Firstly I’m not sure I got the extra cheese I paid for but what was worse there was a total of a table spoon(15 ml) of gravy throughout the whole thing. so about 90% of the fries we DRY! Absolutely not what I picture as poutine(you know fries with cheese that are melted and gooey with gravy)… guess I should have paid for«extra» gravy too.:(

Consistently serves the best burgers with great service. 2 veggie burgers(love the beaner!) And the regular fries and onion rings are always delicious. Very welcoming atmosphere, we got there close to closing once and they were still so patient and inviting. I consider it to be one of the cleaner options for fast food: it tastes fresh and hasn’t been greasy to me. I highly recommend the milkshakes, they’re made to order with actual milk, icecream, and a blender– amazing.

My favourite place for a good burger. I usually only get the Grilled Chicken burger and a side of fries and drink. The prices are not the lowest but the staff is always on point and the menu has a combo option and specials. The options of toppings are a nice touch Green peppers, Red Peppers and choice of onions is nice. The Chicken burger is a grilled Chicken breast a good alternative for a lighter option. The place is always clean. Milk shakes on the menu are not a bad touch either. Overall my favourite burger place in Halifax.

Tried them during burger week! Great burger, decent fries and came with a drink. Not too expensive but a little more than a fast food joint. Nothing too fancy– nothing to complain about, nor rave about. Quick friendly service(counter service) and a clean eating area.

Expensive for the size of portions, combo meal for two about 25 – 30 $ if you add any premium toppings or change the side. I have tried eating here a few times, I usually find the signature burgers fairly bland. The philly cheese was skimpy on cheese and had no garlic to the sauce as listed. The maui wowie was fair. Probably best to look at making your own creation and instructing them along as they assemble it, may save a few $$. If you don’t eat the sandwiches right away they turn into soggy, soppy messes quickly as the bun deteriorates from the grease. I live about 5 minutes away and had a sad looking bag of food when I got home, the one time I chose to do takeaway. Chicken portion my girlfriend got on her sandwich was paper thin, like a toaster-chicken patty without the breading. I would still look to Ace Burger when in the mood for a connoisseur burger.

Five stars for the young lady cleaning everything in sight, even the windowsills and frames. I didn’t eat here this time but my friend did, and he says it was great as always.

It was good… But it didn’t blow me away. I ordered a double cheeseburger and onion rings. I found the burger was… AlrightBut what killed it for me was the Rings.. They were greasy… Really greasy and the burger was pretty greasy as well… I went to flip burger because I had a gift card. Would I go back… Eh… I’ll go to Wendy’s

Been twice loved it!!! I like choosing my own toppings and its a huge huge portion I never finish! Milkshakes are yummy as well! And the managers cell number is on every table so you can text comments… pretty brave! But the food was delicious! Food preparation area was neat and tidy one visit and noticeably messy another visit… and I wish they had compost. Definitely going again and bringing friends! :)

Love their burgers. Everything looks fresh and is made from scratch. Tried the Greek burger(chicken) it was great. Also a couple of their weekly features. All were good.

I do enjoy what they have put together her and I will take it and recommend it over any fast food joint any day. However they see me to have stopped short of being eventful. I look forward to trying a double burger next time.

It’s nice to have a place to get a burger and fries that’s a bit more«elevated» than McD’s in my ‘hood. You’re paying more for it but you’re getting more freshness and flavour in return. Their food is really tasty and the portions are quite generous — I love that they stack so many toppings onto their burgers(I lurve me lotso toppings!). My favourites are the Three Little Pigs(Pulled pork, peameal bacon, Oulton’s double smoked bacon, Canadian cheddar and chipotle mayo — aka. heart attack waiting to happen) and the Maui Wowie(Apple wood smoked cheddar, caramelized pineapple, Oulton’s double smoked bacon, fried onions, roasted red peppers and sweet chilli sauce). It’s nice to see them using local meats, as that’s something I wouldn’t expect from a ‘chain’ like this. The one thing I will say is not to expect FAST food here — they tend to take quite a while to make each order — I have waited about 15 mins or so anytime I have gone. I think this is both good AND bad — good that they make your burger to order and it’s not sitting under a heat lamp for an hour, but bad in that the waiting can be frustrating. The staff is really nice though. If you are in a hurry, I would say skip this place. Come by when you are not in a rush and are able to appreciate a place that takes it’s time preparing your meal.

We went here last week with a couple of co-workers. I went here last year and had a great experience, this time was a different story. Part of our experience had to do with 7 guys ordering the flip burger challenge before us, which delayed our order by 25 – 30 minutes. Hard to fault them here with that much grilling. But when we got our order, the fries were dead cold, not a good second impression. I ended up getting a double pattied burger when I ordered a single patty. Pretty sloppy burger that was poorly constructed by the end of it. I initially thought the extra patty was a bonus for how long it took to get our food, but then realized my co-worker had received a patty-less burger. I’ve never been to a burger joint before where that mistake(a pretty huge one) was made. He went back and had to barter to get another order of fries free of charge. At this point, the whole meal should have been comped. I think it was a matter of them being short staffed at lunchtime, but nonetheless a pretty bad experience. I’ll at least go back to give it another chance.

It was time for another burger with my bestie, so this week we went to Flipburger. I’d never been there before, but he had and assured me that my beef craving was safe. He also pointed out that the locally based menu even fit with my «weird meat rules»(I try to eat local meat as exclusively as possible) so I was ready to go. Walking through the front door was pleasantly jarring. Nowhere is like this. This is an airy restaurant that almost feels like it could double as a yoga studio. It’s bright and energizing. There is also a bowl of fried onions behind the counter that I would like to swim in. We both had signature burgers, and mine was the Swiss Mushroom burger because obviously. There was melty, stringy cheese and nicely cooked mushrooms. The beef itself was juicy and the bun perfect. The only thing keeping it back from perfection was that there were just not enough of those wonderful topping! The sauce was minimal, making the entire burger a rather dry affair when all was said and done. It was still great, but it could have been perfect. The hand-cut fries were amazing. We had them plain, but as I now know they have an option to add truffle oil and fresh grated Parmesan, I am kicking myself for it. I’ll be back sooner than later for those. Flipburger is a place I’ll be visiting often, I can tell. It’s got the kind of menu you actually want to explore; you don’t just want the same thing every time. You want to find which burger is the perfect. I have a feeling the answer is always different. Could be a fun personality test.

Went here for the first time last Wednesday and it was amazing! The décor, and inside is very nice and attractive, it pulls you in quickly The menu is very easy to read and very large print, which is good for elderly people You can see into the kitchen and how its cooked which is very cool There milkshakes are amazing! MUST get! I had the philly cheese, tasted like a home made burger Go here if you love burgers! Also, there sweet potato fires… mouth watering!

Flipburger is definitely«meh.» It may improve with time but I’m not holding my breath. The restaurant is bright but lacking in décor. Staff are friendly and efficient and the menu overhead is large and well-organized. There is room for people to move past those(us) who are indecisive to place their order. You are provided with a number on your receipt which they call when your food is ready. For some reason, our order came in a brown paper bag, even though we were eating in. One thing I’ve learned over the years is that«hand-cut fries» is shorthand for«skinny, unpeeled potatoes either undercooked or fried within an inch of their lives.» At Flipburger, it’s the latter. Our«fries» were little overdone bits; I ate about a third of mine. The burger itself was … okay. I had BBQ sauce on mine and Mike had the works. There were little bits of … things … in my burger. I wasn’t sure if it was supposed to be finely chopped onion or if this was incredibly cheap meat with lots of fillers. It tasted okay and the BBQ sauce, made in-house, was tasty. Thank goodness Brewdebakers(which is across the parking lot from Flipburger) has improved their menu. For about the same price we can get much better burgers and fries, plus table service. The best thing about Flipburger? They have Dr. Pepper.
