The Point Restaurant

We have been here a few times now as we have family in chestermere. The first was unique in that my boyfriends sister was getting married there. We were in and out of the pub throughout the night to get drinks and the servers were always pleasant and put up with us. At the time it was the Men’s world cup soccer final and the place was packed due to poor weather and the only tv they had was a very small tube tv in one corner.
Since then they have a lot more bigger TV’s situated around the bar. We went the other night for dinner and the place was quiet with only a couple other tables. The servers were pleasant and attentive but didn’t have a lot of knowledge of what they had to offer for drinks. We ordered some beers on tap to start and realised halfway through that there was sediment on the bottom which means either a bad keg or dirty lines. The shocktop on tap seemed fine though so we just stuck to that. The food was good. I had the lemon pepper wings and ceasar salad. The wings were well seasoned but didn’t have much meat on them and were a little dry. But I am very picky about my wings and they were still good. The ceasar salad was amazing. I highly recommend it!
The place itself is very nice and offers a beautiful view of the golf course. It’s a good place to go for a casual dinner.

A real review not coming from the staff or a friend of owners.
So we stop in a couple of nights ago based on reviews I thought it got better NOT! Service is brutal «I think a customer is more important than your cell phone»
We had the soup that was tasty but cold. Ordered the steak the quality of the meat was good was over cooked-​it is a pet peeve of mine to have a chief over cook a steak they should know the difference between med rare and well done; very small piece of meat and the sides we also very small for the price. If the owner was not so arrogant thinking he is the best and paid attention to what coming out of the kitchen it might have a chance of getting a better rating.
I’ll drive to Calgary next time I want a steak I get what I ordered and the prices are the same in some places less for the same quality of meat! Sad because I want to support local

I love this place for both dinner and breakfast. Great service. Haven’t had a bad meal there yet!!!
