Pre-fab-tasting pizza with a wide untopped crust ring, very sweet sauce and mediocre quality meat. I would not go back, especially given that there is a decent place 3 minutes from Red’s called Jamal’s pizza.

The sauce was tangy-like BBQ sauce, not good!

Tried this location a few times, gave it a chance but there is no care taken in the preparation of the food. The dough was an inch thick in places and paper thin in others. Also doesn’t taste near as good as the Lunenburg location.

Ok… I read one of the previous reviews about«the pizza takes some getting used to» come on! If that’s what you have to say about it please just admit its kinda on the yuck said. The reason it’s a popular spot is Chester is closed half of the year and the other 2 months its open(see what I did there?) nothing is open past 5pm and good luck to you on sundays. I guess any pizza is good pizza if you are super hungry.

Big Red’s is well know in Chester. The pizza here does take some getting use to, but for the hungry mouths around town, it does the trick. Some people Love Big Reds, so for that and the fact they have been here a long time they get three stars. I have had friends come and eat here and rave about it. Myself, I am not so much of a Huge fan, but will eat it if someone buys. Overall Big Red’s has a great reputation.

Often hearing of Big Red’s from people at work that live in the area decided to pop in an try it when visiting. To my surprise it was very good. It was funny when I was looking at the menu and seen hot dogs on it I chuckled as the BF asks me to place them on a homemade one. Liking my crust crunchy I asked that it was done well. So my first bite all I could hear was the sound of the crispy crust and tasting the toppings. Mushrooms, GP, P, HP and some spice made this pizza rock. Sometimes I am not able to eat certain pizzas due to sauce being to tangy but Red’s was not overpowering nice flavour to it. Not only does Chester offer some of the most beautiful locations it also had one of the best little pizza hubs.

Big Red’s has something you never thought you’d find in a village as tiny as Chester: incredible pizza. I was first introduced to Big Red’s when I was dating my ex-husband some 20 years ago. At the time, I was a bit taken aback by their unique sauce and topping combinations. Hot dogs? On pizza? You’re kidding, right? But over time, Big Red’s grew on me. Even though I no longer live in Chester, I find myself down there from time to time. Whenever I can, I drop by Big Red’s and get a pizza to go. Sure, it has to be reheated when I get home — but it’s just that good. Big Red’s claim to fame is their sauce. Sweet and tangy all at the same time, they apply it liberally under the toppings — and sometimes, over them as well. They have any number of toppings from which to choose as well as themed pizzas — the Saucy CàNàDà eh! puts more sauce over the cheese, which means it’s just goodness layered onto goodness over a crust that’s chewy but not tough. We developed a favourite that I’ve kept to this day: works, no hot dogs, extra cheese, extra sauce. Try it — you’ll never go back to other pizzas!
