Being from the Deep South, I love barbecue, any kind, sweet is my favorite but Vinegar based sauces are really good too, so I was disappointed in the«Southern» menu items they had. The BBQ Beans, were so over«seasoned» with liquid smoke that I could not eat them. The pulled pork was dripping grease like it had been stored in a hot table all day and was stewing in its own juices, again not impressed. The waitress was friendly and attentive. The appetizers we had were great The Spinach and Artichoke Dip with Deep Fried Pita Chips was excellent. The Riblets were decent although there was very little meat to the portion and not worth the price for gnawing on bones. The $ 10 Tuesday Steak Special is very good most of the time. A nice piece of meat for the cost with 2 sides.

Food is consistently good here. Don’t know why it’s getting an unfair bad rap on Unilocal. We have family meals here at least twice a month. 45 cent wings are great, nachos are incredible. And of course the ribs are fantastic. All you can eat ribs on Sunday!

We stopped in on a Monday night — $ 5 mini pitchers — so the night started off well. We waited a long. very long time for our food to come. I’m not really sure why it took as long as it did because the restaurant was pretty empty. When the food did arrive(most of the table got the all you can eat rib special), we had the foresight to order the next round of ribs immediately. Its a good thing because we had finished off our first plate and still ended up waiting for the second plate to arrive. The side dishes that came with the special were just ok. I opted for the mac and cheese and corn bread muffins. The mac and cheese was creamy, but a bit flavorless. The corn bread muffins were tasty, but I’ve visit true BBQ country and they just can’t compete! One positive note is the house made BBQ sauce both the regular and the spicy were quite tasty. I probably won’t try this place again.

I’ll start off by saying that the foodl is 3 or 3.5, but everything else drops my rating down a point. Although I’ve had much better BBQ, this is probably your best option if your not willing to drive down to Windsor. My issues with the restaurant: Service is extremely slow. This observation is taken from three separate vists all on different days of the weeks and different times. On one occaision, my wife wanted to try the all-you-can-eat rib special that was on and we left after 30 minutes of waiting for the second plate. Portion Size When I go out for BBQ, I am expecting large portions. I know I don’t need large portions, but that’s what I expect to get. The portions here are enough, but you are not going to have that ‘I’m stuffed’ feeling that I associate with going out for BBQ and if you are hungry you should probably order an appetizer to go with your meal. Price I find the prices a bit high considering everything I’ve mentioned above. Not outlandish or anything, but about 30% higher than expected
