Had time for a quick bite here. 3 of us ordered smoked meat. The other a chicken wrap. Our order was taken fairly fast. The food came at a reasonable time with the exception that one came 5 minutes before the other 3. Making the one to get cold before the others arrived. The food was very good & large portions. It was overall a good value. $ 10 — $ 12 sandwich meals. Found it odd that you either get a $ 9 sandwich with nothing. No tiny Coke slaw or pickle. Nothing !! Or you pay $ 12& get it all. Fries slaw & pickle. There should be a happy medium. Maybe with or without fries. When we were done. It seemed our waitress disappeared for a little while & we had to leave for a function. So that was a little disappointing. I’d go back for sure. Overall a good experience, value & food.

I was really impressed coming here for this first time with my little sister by her request! We ordered the jalapeño poppers, taco salad for myself and caesar chicken wrap for my sister. The food came within ten minutes of ordering and the place was pretty busy, very impressive. The jalapeño poppers were lightly breaded, creamy and spicy, pretty standard for poppers. The taco salad was HUGE I did not expect the light, flaky, green taco shell, three different types of sauces(sour cream, caesar and salsa), loads of veggies and tender grilled chicken on top. It was delicious, I have left overs that I will be taking for lunch tomorrow! We were both so full by the end of the meal, we could barely move. The only qualm I have with fifty’s is that it wasn’t too busy but they sat us in a booth right beside the door, it was pretty chilly while we were eating. I am sure we could have asked to be moved, the staff were really friendly! The prices were pretty standard for diners, spending around fifty dollars for two people for dinner. I will be coming back here in the future! Perhaps for the all day breakfast!

It’s a cambridge favourite, or once was. Decent food, well priced and friendly service. The only«issue» or complaint I have is the seating. The regular booths are ok but usually full, leaving you with tables you have to share or odd booths. Other than that great!

Good for breakfast, lunch and dinner. The food is fantastic and you get large portions with your meal. You can’t beat the prices for the food you get. The staff is always friendly and accommodates your needs. Breakfast time usually has line up but they get you in pretty quick.

Exceptional service from Debbie. Huge portions. Warm atmosphere. Ambience I gave 4 stars because we did receive extraordinary service, but my personal preference for a restaurant menu-wise and atmosphere I found to be rather conventional. Very good for anyone looking for a great local restaurant with a warm feel, that would like something other than the typical Boston Pizza or Crabby Joes. Service Debbie was the star, and is the reason I’m up to 4 stars. Drinks were on our table almost immediately, she was very helpful with the food selection, we had drink refills throughout before we could open our mouths, and she was never too far away if we needed anything. It was like Debbie knew what we wanted before we could say it. She was very helpful, polite and an extremely great example of what service should be in any restaurant or any retail store. Food I had the western omelette. Good flavour and portion. My friend had the smoked meat sandwich. You absolutely get what you pay for. Exceptional value.

Went here once, ordered their club sandwich, sandwich had hair in them. Not just my food but my husband as well. That’s the last time we saw the shadow of Fifty’s Deli we never came back again.

A family — style restaurant serving a good range of lunch and dinner item. We had the smoked near sandwich, which was okay at best. The meat didn’t taste as fresh as what you would expect if it was made on site(far from Montréal quality). However, the redeeming quality was the value of the meal — an additional sandwich can be had for an additional $ 1.

This is my absolute favourite place to great breakfast in Cambridge. The portion sizes are enormous, and the prices are so reasonable! Everything is always consistent and delicious. There is often a line on weekend mornings, but the wait time is always reasonable, and it’s totally worth it. My favourite meal is the French Toast with eggs, bacon, sausage and ham. The home fries leave something to be desired(it would be so good if they were pan fried instead of deep fried with no flavour added whatsoever!)

Food was decent. The portions were pretty good. But I’d probably go to Cora’s instead if I wanted breakfast food. What wasn’t so great was our server. This middle aged blonde lady was rude and never said thank you after we paid. Might want to re-train your staff on BASIC courtesy, or find someone else who knows how to thank a customer.

Remember Seinfeld? Remember the BIG salad?! Well 50’s has BIG salads and they are sooo good. My favourite is the chicken tender salad, its so big, I share it with my mom when we go, it’s impossible for me to finish alone. They have great food, their portions are huge. I used to always get the chicken tender meal, but then the waitress suggested I get the appetizer, chicken and fries, just the right amount — and still I can’t always finish it. They also have take out, so you can call and pick up your order, which is good during dinner hours or thursdays. It’s always packed on Thursdays nights lined up out the door.

Cheerful staff, great newer look, food is always fresh and prepared well. Great for hangover breakfast. Weekday breakfast special. Fantastic Deli sandwichs… Would highly recommend if cruisin for a bite in Cambridge.

I was really looking forward to visiting here, as I’ve heard nothing but praise. I understand there were recent renovations, which only usually means good things. I’m not sure why they’ve kept the restaurant’s name because it no longer looks like a 50’s place. The décor is very boring grey, with a few accent colours. It could have been any«family-style» restaurant in the area. In a 50’s restaurant the atmosphere is almost as important as the food. I had a Montréal smoked meat sandwich and fries. The portions of smoked meat were pretty good but I was expecting more; the fries were below average. My dining companion had chicken fingers. They did look pretty good, not from the freezer section of the supermarket at least. If you’re looking for a 50’s diner, don’t bother stopping in here. The food was acceptable, but not worth my time to drive here, with better options all over the area. I doubt I’ll be back.

I have been coming here regularly for years, and I would recommend anything on the menu, it’s that good. There is always a line up during lunch and dinner time, but the line moves very fast. Well worth the ten minutes.

Great breakfast, super cheap and always fun. They remodeled the place recently, so it has a much different vibe now. The old Fifties had a better atmosphere, but the new Fifties is nicer inside and looks like it seats people more comfortably. The food is always good, comes in decently sized portions and is always hot. Made fresh to your order and the service is usually nice. They say they have all day breakfast, but its not really true. My favourite thing about Fifties is the home style fries, which they only serve until about 12pm, then they serve regular fries after. Disappointing. They have good dinner and lunch options though, and they serve good portions as well. It is always busy in the morning especially on weekends. In some cases, you may have to wait half an hour so be prepared to go early. But it is still really fun and the food is good, I highly recommend this to anyone shopping in Cambridge Centre or the surrounding areas, a great place to take a break from shopping.

Sunday, Monday, Happy Days. Tuesday, Wednesday, Happy Days. Thursday, Friday, Happy Days. The weekend comes, My cycle hums, Ready to race to you. These days are all, Happy and Free.(Those Happy Days) These days are all, Share them with me.(oh baby) Goodbye grey sky, hello blue. There’s nothing can hold me when I hold you. Feels so right, it can’t be wrong. Rockin’ and rollin’ all week long. This place was so good, I came back twice in two nights. Just a traditional diner with good honest diner food. Almost makes me wish I grew up in the era except, I would have been a minority and probably segregated. Aside from that… I love me a good traditional open face turkey diner(see photo). I so rarely have that, and I didn’t grow up with turkey, but always feel warm and fuzzy when I can have it. Not many places serve it, and this was one of the better ones I’ve ever had. As Fonzie used to say… Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaayy!
