Eclipse Asian Cuisine

Wanted to try it yesterday with a friend who highly recommend it as it was cheap, variety of food, nice inside and even had a sushi conveyor belt. We were surprised to find the parking lot empty and a sign was posted on their door.
Place Closed by the Ministry of Water Public Health. Someone must have gotten sick from the food there… Sometimes the food looked like it was out for too long.

I was so excited to eat here when it first opened! My boyfriend and i went in for a bit of a late dinner, around 730 and i hate to say it but it was literally the worst food i have ever eaten. Every single item tasted like it had been sitting out for hours. The sushi was not fresh. The mashed potatoes tasted like instant mashed potatoes and we both got sick after getting home. This happened months ago so i really hope things have changed otherwise i do not recommend going here. Unless you’re dying to try it, then it would be best to go early as the food would be more fresh.

Now it has lower lunch buffet price. Good selection of dishes and salads for lunch. Have tried dinner for 5 – 6 times. Pretty good. Staff is ok. Don’t speak much English which is normal for Chinese business places. Slow in serving on the tables. Overall good for Chinese food.

This place used to be a dump until when it got new ownership now it’s an unknown gem with great pricing and great food this is a regular place for me and my friends

This restaurant recently changed its prices and it’s now a lot cheaper. The adult buffet is now only $ 15 per adult on weekends, and for the price, you get a lot from it. The selection of grilled items and Chinese foods was very decent and the flavour was great. The Japanese food selection was also very decent and considering the price, I think it was well worth. I would recommend this place because you et a fairly decent selection for a very affordable price and it is also really nice inside.

I wouldn’t recommend it… The place is not going to last for the prices they charge and the service sucked. Food was ok but even though there was 2 ½ hrs before closing when we went there they were rushing us and we felt uncomfortable. Not too many times I only leave a 10% tip but I did and that was generous.

I was hoping for a nice buffet sushi dinner (they advertised conveyor belt sushi!) with my boyfriend, but instead was left with probably the worst restaurant experience I’ve ever had. We arrived at 7:45pm on a Saturday and were greeted by a confused, but very nice hostess. We were seated next to a large party that included many children screaming and running around.
After asking to move, we ventured up to buffet area. First thing I noticed was the conveyor belt «sushi». Half the items looked like they had been out for hours, and looked like a weird mix of soggy tempura with raw fish placed on top. The rest of the buffet items did not seem fresh and basically everything was breaded. The «teppanyaki section» was the butt end of a roast, some old garlic bread, and picked over potatoes. Attention to detail and overall quality was very poor. For example, a dish labeled «potatoes» was actually extremely salty deep fried shrimp that looked VERY much like potatoes. To put the icing on the cake, the crab legs, usually one of my favourite parts of Chinese buffets, were literally dirty. We could barely finish our plates of the food we actually recognized.
Although I realize this isn’t the focus of a Chinese buffet, dessert wasn’t any better. The jello was sitting in a pool of unknown «juice», the bananas were covered in a strange red sauce, the «cakes» had a strange yellow crust on the outside of the custard, presumably from sitting out so long.
Despite the awful food, our server was very nice and attentive. The restaurant interior is very pretty, although the atmosphere is a bit off as it is very large but almost empty. They could benefit from music, or at least anything to drown out the sounds of screaming children.
We will definitely not be coming back. Don’t do what we did and waste your money here.
