Extremely friendly staff, mostly knowledgeable about games. Very organized and great finds. Unfortunately any game collector would first hit up the internet nowadays to score the perfect find for half the price as in store which makes this business a little hard to support. Strangely enough, this is a great place to score some classic and hard to find DVDs for movie collectors at extremely fair prices.

Well… I liked the organisation of the store and the staff are really helpful. BUT what I also noticed was that the games were pretty darn expensive for used games, I guess if you’re a «video game collector» these prices are ok, but for someone who just wants a game to play… no I will not pay $ 30 for a game that during it’s day was only worth $ 20… I think that next time I’ll just hit up the Cash Converters, where I can get a game for any of the old systems for under $ 15

Sick and tired of playing that video game over and over, well video trader has the answer. This place is a nice ample place on 17thSE and is chockfull of used games and systems… you have your PlayStation, PC’s, Xbox, Wii, and GameCube amongst tons of others. They have a good assortment of games in a very well laid out store; there are even used Blue Ray videos for sale here. And if you have old games that are collecting dust supposedly Video Trader will give you cash and the best prices in Calgary for them. One of the most appealing perks about the store is the reparation of CDs, and DVDs. I didn’t even know you could do that! I believe it is 5 bucks for CDs and 8 bucks for DVDs. So don’t bother buying new ones, just give some TLC to the old The Video Trader a sure way for you to continue your tendency towards tendinitis because their selection seems pretty endless.
