Subway

As far as Subway Sandwich restaurants go there are usually 3 different variations; the best ones are typically stand-​alone restaurants, second best are usually food court locations and third and least appetizing are usually ones combined with other businesses, like a gas station. This Subway restaurant is located in a Centex Gas Station on Elbow Drive, this is what I’d typically classify as the lowest tier of Subway restaurants and least desirable. For some reason when combined in this format I’ve found that they don’t get the same attention and care as a stand-​alone, and they typically have poorer staff. However, this is not always the case as I’ve found the Subway located in Centex to be a bit of an exception.
This location is very clean for a gas station location! Anytime I’ve been here I’ve been pleasantly surprised by the quality of the vegetables, all seemingly quite fresh and nothing over/​under ripe. The staff here are also polite and efficient, not shady and rough around the edges as I’m used to seeing at these kinds of Subway locations. There are even 2 small 2-​seater tables if customers want to stay and eat. One drawback I’ve noticed is they’re usually lower stock for snacks and cookies at this location. Since this is also a gas station you can get other snacks/​drinks easy enough, but you may be out of luck if you want a Subway cookie! All things considered pretty solid location, don’t let the gas station frontage scare you away, I’ve gotten better ingredients and service at this location compared to next two closest locations. This location is typically quieter as well.
