The Staff and Dr Badawi were fantastic the entire time of my treatment. I honestly can say that they made braces for an adult as pleasurable as possible. The staff were always friendly and Dr Badawi is not one of those stuffy I’m better than you doctors. He was very knowledgeable, and always in a good mood. I’ve had bad experiences with doctors and he definitely was a breath of fresh air. Also the cost was cheaper than the other three places I got estimates with. One place even said I needed surgery. I’m so happy that I chose Smile Elements and now I have a pretty smile to show it!

My daughter got her teeth straighten with Dr. Badawi. She had serious overbite and had been seeing Dr Badawi since 2009. Worn night retainer for 4 years and braces for 2 years. Got her braces off 3 months ago. My daughter and I are very pleased with her teeth now. Every visit is a pleasant experience. Thank you, Dr. Badawi.

Ok I only waited about 20 years till I decided that I needed braces. My teeth are not in terrible condition but I knew deep down that I will be happier once the gaps and crowding were fixed.
I found this clinic in the Creekside area one day as I was heading out to Rona for a few things and popped in and asked a few questions about my situation. For me, if the front desk staff are unpleasant, I will not even pursue spending my cash there because these people are who you are going to be dealing with. For braces you are looking at dealing with them for at least a year, in my case, almost two. Having said that all the ladies were fantastic, helpful, friendly and very professional.
I signed up for a consultation and was very impressed with the overall construction of the clinic. Very modern, bright and open. I have been to a few places and there are little rooms and nooks that just make the space feel claustrophobic, not here, lots of glass, and an open floor plan really makes it feel like a cool place to be. I really love the technology aspect of the clinic. They show you a 3D image of your teeth and how they would move, also once you are a patient, they take regular photos of the treatment and how your teeth are moving. It is really remarkable and an art.
Fees are about the same as other clinics, but for me the selling point was they included the clear Damon braces on the top front teeth at no additional cost, where other clinics charged extra for that. I don’t know if that was a promo at the time but I was happy I went with them.
Fast forward about a year. Almost all my teeth are aligned now, with exception to one stubborn molar that is putting up a battle! I have an appointment next week to see what the ETA on my removal of said braces is. Dr. Badawi’s estimate for me was about 1.5 years total treatment time. I am at one year now and that is the shortest treatment time I received among the 3 places I went. I think I will be at the retention stage very soon, and although I am not looking forward to wearing the clear retainers at night, I am looking forward to finally having straight teeth.
I have referred several of my friends and some family to this clinic; an establishment has to be stellar for me to do that! They take emergency appointments and have very early times available for those who work, having said that the only negative I will give them, and it pains me to do this, is they close their doors at 3pm which is hard if you work and have kids in school, but there is only one orthodontist in the clinic so it is what it is and I managed to work my way around it with a full time job and kids.
Excellent clinic, fantastic staff and a clearly competent, professional and well educated orthodontist. I am glad I spent my money here.
