The folks from this particular food truck stopped into the Calgary Stampede this year. As soon as I saw ‘Mac and Cheese’ on their truck I gravitated towards it. Quite a few different dishes to choose from, but I chose to start with the classic called «The Main Event» on their menu.
A decent portion, but not quite the magical mystery tour of cheesy goodness I was hoping for. The flavour wasn’t quite all there and it was fairly dry. I finished half of it and threw the rest out. This has never happened in the history of Blake and mac. Very disappointing.

Reel Mac and Cheese from Vancouver has come to the Calgary Stampede to share their cheesy goodness. My lady and I had the opportunity to try the Run Fatboy Run. This dish consists of three healthy sized balls of mac and cheese. They’re made to order so they come out nice and hot and melty, but held together with a crunchy outer crust.
They were delicious and creamy. Being at the Stampede, this was probably the best item on the menu to order since its finger food. Though they do give you a fork to go with the balls if you don’t want to get messy.
I guess its time for this fat boy to go for a run now.
