Review is on the NEW location@ 11 Avenue S.W., My stylist was late… I waited around 25 minutes, then the ‘head stylist’ came out and said she’d do instead. She did a good job on hair cut. The ambiance is ‘fair’ — nothing too ‘special’ about their new location(not sure what the other one is like). My original stylist did show up and I am thankful she didn’t cut my hair. She was with another client next to me and kept having to refer to my stylist for confirmation on everything she did. When I paid for service she came out to the front desk to do something and I told her my name and that I was her original client, etc., She didn’t really say anything to me. I would go back to the head stylist(Dani) but be leary of the ‘other’ stylists there…

This place is right across from my apartment, so when I was in desperate need of an eyebrow wax I ran over, I’ve now been here twice, only for an eyebrow wax. They are very good about getting you in right away and the girls have been really friendly and nice. BUUUT the girl who waxes eyebrows must not be able to see very well. I mean both times I have come home with wax still all over my face. Not only that but the ends of my eyebrows– like going towards my hair– look like they haven’t even been touched with the wax strips. I still need to pluck there. At least she doesn’t go bananas and rip out every last hair, but that’s about the only good thing I can think of, and for that I am grateful. To make it worse, this is not a cheap 10 dollar wax, this is costing close to 30 $ each time. I need to not be so lazy and go elsewhere.

I just finished reading all the bad reviews for this salon & spa and I am a bit surprised as I had a wonderful experience there. I had purchased a GroupOn for a haircut as I am new to the city and don’t currently have a permanent hairstylist. I was fortunate enough to have Bassem, the owner do my hair, and he worked his magic as I ended up with a beautiful, rich color and a cool new haircut. I would recommend Bassem to anyone. I also liked the atmosphere as it was clean and organized and just generally felt like a good place to get your hair done.

I bought a groupon for this salon around Christmas for a wash, cut, color, and style. I normally have a chin length bob, and it was about 3 months since my last cut so it was grown out a bit. The coupon included full solid color, or 8(I think) highlights. When I booked appointment I told them I wanted to try the brown and blonde ombré coloring, and I was told over the phone that would would work with the coupon because my hair was quite short, And my hair was my natural brunette color. When I arrived at salon, I was pleased with the music and the two ladies at the front desk were very friendly. I had to wait about 15 minutes for my stylist because she hadn’t arrived at work yet. Once she got there, we got started and I explained what I wanted done to my hair. She then told me that it was going to be about 60 $ extra to get the Ombré done. which caught me off guard cause I was told the opposite previously. Although I was bummed that it was going to cost more then I had expected, I went through with it anyways because I really wanted it. The stylist didn’t talk at all during my appointment, and my shampoo/condition seemed to be rushed. Seeing as this was a groupon, I was nervous enough that I was going to get some inexperienced stylist and us not talking, made me a little more on edge. But Overall, she did do what I wanted with the cut and color, so I felt a little silly for being so worried it would turn out badly. Even though I am happy with my hair, I don’t think I will be returning. I have been to other salons that cost the same and make me feel much more comfortable, and also treat me how I expect to be treated as a paying customer.

After purchasing the Groupon, I made an appointment first thing the next day for a hair cut. The Groupon was actually the same price as my regular Chatters cut, but I figured a salon/spa would offer a better experience. The stylist wasn’t very creative, and gave me a simple trim that she said made me «look like Jennifer Aniston». When I got to the till, I was ready to pay a tip and the receptionist said«that will be 29.95». I said, «I’ve already paid with Groupon» to which she said I had obviously not seen the fine print, in which people with long hair are charged an additional 25 dollars. She said that if you print out your Groupon, you see it. Who prints their Groupon these days? On top of that, the debit machine wasn’t working and so they took my bank card number(which I feel pretty uncomfortable about). All in all, I paid $ 70 for an unimaginative trim. Rip off!

Mixed feelings. I have had some good and some not so good haircuts and color, but I don’t think the salon deserves such negative reviews. The customer service is always professional and the salon has a great vibe. I have had the pleasure of experiencing a chocolate body wrap and hot stone massage as well(with Angela), which were both truly relaxing and rejuvenating.

I tried out Pink Lime with a Dealfind voucher I bought; $ 49 for a 1 hour hot stone massage and 45 minute facial. The services were not bad. The hot stone massage was not provided by a registered massage therapist so wan’t comparable to any other massage I’ve ever had with a registered therapist; more like a ‘rub down’ than a massage. The facial was simple but nice, they used a good product line. The spa space was average; nothing special about it and certinaly doesn’t compare to other well known day spas. All in all I enjoyed my treatment for $ 49 but definitely wouldn’t go and pay full price(according to the voucher was valued at $ 249) for the service.

Using a Groupon as an excuse to cheat on my go-to spa, I thought it would be a opportunity to try a new spa out since it is so close to my home. The spa was clean, the services were mediocre, they spend most of your time there trying to sell you products, but it is the staff’s attitude really put me off. The receptionist was rude and condescending when I called to confirm the time for my appointment, which quickly gave me a bad impression. Moreover, when I decided to pay with cash as I was leaving, he told me he had no change, slapped the inadequate change on the counter and turned away, assuming that the rest could be treated as tip and that the conversation/transaction was over. I thought coupons were a marketing tool a business would use to attract new customers, and grow your clientele, but if you are going to treat your customers badly just because they are using a coupon, they will not return, and tell all their friends never to go there.

been to several salons and this one by far is the worst. Had my appointment for manicure, massage and wash/style for months, and two days before the said appointment I got a phone call that the esthetician got sick and I have to reschedule. That was fine, stuff happens I get it, the girl kept apologizing so I told her that I’m not mad and asked when would be the next available appointment on a saturday, she said that she has the afternoon at 12 for manicure/massage and 1 for wash/style. Impressed, I booked it. I planned the whole day around that, go to the salon, go shopping with girlfriends, dinner and movies at night, a perfect first day of the long weekend to kick of birthday celebrations… well it was supposed to be, until i arrived to pink lime, just to find that apparently my appointment was not rebooked and no one was available because everyone has their break at the same time as my appointment was booked for. so someone made a mistake, my name was in the schedule but it was erased. am I disappointed? pretty much, but people make mistakes, I accept that, the next step was recovery. After about 15 minutes of the girls at the counter telling they don’t know what to say, one suggested to get the manicure today, and the massage later. So the solution was after 15 minutes of deliberation, we’ll give you 30 minutes of your manicure and call it a day for your 1 hour appointment today(i passed on the wash/style because of time), and then come back again for you 30 massage. No thanks, don’t know about others, but I like going to the salon/spa for the experience, the full meal deal, not a piece meal. What I would have appreciated is more effort to show that they actually care about making it right. To say the least I’m extremely dissappointed, I left and don’t plan on going back. Still gonna have a blast today, but will never recommend Pink Lime to anyone who wants a full spa/salon experience with staff that actually care. from previous comments it sound like they are pricey too, so decide for yourself, if you are lucky/unlucky to get in what exactly are you getting for your money.

Avoid! Watched one woman leave crying and she still had to pay full price. I had a groupon, was 5 minutes late which they said was 15 and charged me an extra 15 to pay for the extra time, but I didn’t get the extra 15 minutes as promised. And the girl who did my wash and blow dry was as dumb as a post. «So I am pretty new to styling hair, ok». Right don’t touch my hair then. I will never get that hour of my life back!!!

There’s a running joke between me and some friends that I know more about the«beauty» industry than any straight man should due to how many hairstylists I’ve dated. At Pink Lime, I can honestly say that #1) I’ve never dated anyone that works there and #2) they know more than I do about beautifying women. I was completely satisfied with my haircut which firstly says something since I haven’t been happy with a haircut since I was 12. It may have been a little pricier than I’m used to but the quality was worth it. I can’t speak to their other services but with it being a full-service salon spa maybe someday I will. 03⁄30

Yeah, so … at some point after I got home from Christmas vacation, I decided I didn’t want to be a brunette anymore. I’m a blond. And that’s just the way the world has to work. I called up the hairdresser whom I’ve seen a handful of times before, knowing I could get in without much notice. I got back to blond but more importantly, she grabbed a hold of my hair, gave it a yank and then slapped me upside the head and told me ‘NOMORECOUPONSFORYOURHAIR.‘ The actual cut was a mess … entirely uneven from one side to the other, chopped up on the layers on one side and even a couple of ‘holes’ in my hair that will make the grow-out phase look sloppy without several visits back to Tish for fixes. Fine. No more coupons.
