I’m reviewing for a single appointment I had with the Natropath Dr. Vinge. First let me say that the location was great and really well kept. It was easy to find and the waiting room was clean and relaxing! The receptionist was super helpful and on the ball, as well.
Background: I’m a fat girl recently diagnosed with T2 Diabetes. I had some coverage for a Naturopath in my benefits so I decided to utilize it, despite Dr. Vinge not being a diabetic specialist, which I understood in advance.
I spent over an hour filling out a sheet of possibile symtoms I’ve experienced recently in advance of the appointment, which I felt was really thorough. Dr. Vinge had then plotted it on a scale to see what was wrong with me. It turns out, pretty much everything! She seemed overwhelmed by my lack of general health. (I’ll attribute that to poor upbringing, genetics and also pure laziness) and sat with me for an hour telling me some fairly unrealistic things like, cut all meat and dairy out because humans shouldn’t be eating that. She mentioned all these very expensive foods I should be eating despite my expressing budgeting concerns. And she told me to get off birth control. I asked what I should do about pregnancy and she said, that’s not a problem if you’re not having intercourse? Who said I wasn’t? I’m in a long term hetero relationship… is it because I’m a fat person? I don’t know.
It was just a first meeting but I won’t be back to Dr. Vinge. She seems like her heart is in the right place, but I couldn’t help leaving feeling judged and like such a big mess, no one could ever possibly help me. I’ll stick with my specialists who don’t make me feel that way. However, don’t let this deter you from giving her a chance if you have the benefits to try it out.

Dr. Laroiya is the best chiropractor I have ever been to. He properly assesses your situation, he listens, and then he uses a combination of techniques to help you. His specialty is the Activator — a non-​cracking method that helps nudge bones into place before your muscles can tense up. It’s magical. As well, I’ve been to many different massage therapists here and every one of them has been fantastic, especially for therapeutic deep tissue massage. Dr. Vinge the naturopath is friendly, helpful and very knowledgeable too.
