The name is now Master Chocolate which is much more suitable! This is it… It’s expensive so one may eat less, but be so satisfied because the quality is above and beyond most other chocolate in Calgary — world class! It is easily worth it! There is a chocolate place in Inglewood that might… be a contender. The company that has been using his name(bankruptcy) does not do justice to the REAL Callebaut, chocolate so it is great he is back. Congratulations Master Chocolate!!!

While I personally get my fix at the Papa Chocolat stand at the Calgary Farmers’ Market, there’s no doubt that these are the prettiest and most delicious chocolates in town no matter which location they’re sold at! Each little diamond shaped chocolate is a work of art, with a gorgeous design printed on top and a wonderful combination of smooth textures and flavours. I’m slowly working my way through their line of truffles, and can’t decide which is my favourite as they’re all amazing. There’s plenty of ‘standards’, such as sea salt & caramel, and then completely unique flavours such as the ‘Jean Luc’, a delicious mixture of Earl Grey flavoured cream surrounded by dark chocolate, which I tried yesterday. At approximately $ 1.25 per chocolate, these aren’t cheap, but as just one piece is more flavoursome than an entire bar of inferior chocolate, it’s well worth indulging in occasionally… if you can stop after just one!

OUTSTANDING!!! For my birthday, I received a box of assorted chocolates from Papa Chocolat. I was so excitted. They were better than I could have imagined. BC chocolates were always devine, but his new venture outshines. The snap of the chocolate as you bite in is perfect and clean. The flavours excite your taste buds and the smoothness of the chocolate as you savour it makes you wonder why you have ever and would ever let an inferior product ever cross your lips. I want to ship these chocolates around the globe to my friends so they to can taste a piece of chocolate heaven.

This is Bernard Callebaut’s new line… I guess he lost ownership of the actual Bernard Callebaut shops with his name and developed a new venture with Papa Chocolat. I’ve received a few boxes as gifts in the last couple of years as they ship. The packaging and chocolate designs/flavors are definitely more ‘contemporary’ than his original line… Everything is done with the square shape and a variation of the color design/dustings. The chocolate quality and ingredients are the same. Very fresh — the box never lasts long at our house! I’m partial to the original Callebaut designs personally but would definitely recommend trying these if you’re a fan of the original!

The man knows his chocolate – I first had Papa B’s chocolate in the 1990s under his BC brand. He is still the best! Love Papa B.‘s chocolate so much that I purchased it as a birthday gift to myself. The chocolate arrived promptly by mail today following my order 2 days ago. Easy to order online and received right at my door – what could be better?! The chocolate pieces are well-formed diamonds with beautiful patterns on top. The insides contain unique flavors. So far, I have eaten 6 or so of the chocolates. Most of the rest have flown out of the box, consumed by friends and family. Everyone has oooohed and aaaahed over these gorgeous and delicious chocolates. They are like fireworks whose startlingly lovely flames soon disappear, leaving you wanting more.

Came here expecting something like ‘BC’ but it was more casual and a whole different feel. Selection is definitely less than ‘BC’. I got 3 boxes of chocolates as gifts. The pieces are all the same shape(diamond) with different patterns dusted or printed on them. Their colors seem to be dark brown… and then some pop of color like bright orange, blue, bright apple green, etc… Boxes are the same dark brown. As these were gifts, they were nice and put tissue paper inside the bag for me. My friends liked the sea salt caramel one. There was also one with gold flakes on it which was gobbled up first of course.
