One Man and a Ladybug

PUBLIC SERVICE ANNOUNCEMENT to All Calgarians in search of an exterminator for mice… DO NOT CALL!
I had called several places that I found on line and these guys called back first… Good sign right? Setting up an appointment was a bit of a gong show but Calgary has a growing mouse problem so I understood. Then came THE day I was waiting for… I HATE mice and after living in Brooklyn with rats and cockroaches, I would still take them over mice… So I was very excited about them coming :)
The girl came in walked around the outside of the house with some tips on how to keep them from coming in, like keep the back door closed… hmmm…
Then she got to work! She put out boxes with poison in them… You know the kind you buy at the hardware store? That will be $ 250 she said without laughing…
After less than 20 minutes (including the cheque writing part) that was it! $ 250 to put traps in cupboards! My son should get paid more for at least almost loosing a finger while setting the little death traps…
We were told that was all they do… No spraying, nothing else… Which thrilled the little mouse that came out 2 days later to say hi. oh and another one of his family members that was trying out some mr noodles through the package in the cupboard (beside the trap) a week later…
So my suggestion? Call anyone but One Man and a Lady Bug! Ask them what they do to get rid of them… We called Abell, and we are confidently walking barefoot in the kitchen again :)
