I stepped into Mojomonk today for a latte to keep me warm in the snowy weather downtown as I waited for the bus. I would have liked to spend some time in the shop if I had more time downtown; the interior was cute and inviting. My drink was ready in record time and tasted great! Prices seemed about average for specialty coffee.
I will definitely visit again!

I don’t know if Calgary has Blenz coffee, but this place feels like any Blenz coffee shop that I’d find all over Vancouver. The key point about Blenz coffee (and mojo monk) is that they’re not quite a Starbucks and not quite a funky local roaster hipster joint either. (Which could be a very good thing)
The latte I had was good, heated properly, yet I wasn’t completely hooked. I also found out after ordering that they’d be closing in 15 minutes.
It’s a nice spot for meeting people and chilling. Just note they close at 4:30pm.
