Trained @ legacy boxing in 2010. Legacy Boxing is located in No Limits A.F.C. gym. There are punching bags, a mat space for workouts, and a fully functioning boxing gym. Jesse Bartlett is the head instructor who brings his extensive boxing experience. He is a super nice fellow who pushes you through the workouts(just don’t be a lazy slouch, he’ll Bruce Banner into Hulk and make you do more reps). His club direction is also a positive one, as he always tries to organize fun events like BBQ and clown parties. For two classes a week(Monday and Friday), I was literally taken through the ringer, so much that I cringed every time I saw a Rocky training montage. The workouts vary every class and everyone gets a chance to hit the pads with Jesse, who works with you according to your goals(fitness, learning boxing techniques). For those willing to let their young ones put on gloves, Legacy is the perfect place as Jesse knows how to train with children. Although I’m not sure if he often allows children to spar without being super careful. After the conditioning class, there is an optional sparring class you can take, where you can spar with other Legacy fighters. Just make sure you wear proper gear like a headgear and mouth guard, otherwise you’ll get your clock cleaned out. I also got some great pointers from Legacy’s experienced fighters. Boxing is definitely the sweetest science of them all The monthly membership price is fair considering most martial arts gyms charge over 100. They also do trial classes in case you wanted to drop in and try them out.
