Green’s Rock & Lapidary

I don’t know anything about Rock Shops, or what makes a good one or a bad one, however I will say that this place is awesome. Spoke with the owner and he is a 3^rd Generation owner which is great.
We were there to pick up some things for my Nieces birthday and she is absolutely crazy about rocks, minerals, fossils.
They have everything from 50 cent pieces to 15,000 dollar full sized fossils.
It was a cool experience, definitely wakes up the kid inside of you! Worth popping in and checking it out!

Green’s Rock & Lapidary is a neat little rock store that does a very big business. I have been going to this shop for years, to fulfill my love of rocks and fossils and the one thing I have sincerely noticed over the years is that it is getting more visually attractive.
When i first went there, even though I loved the rocks and fossils, I found that its curb appeal was a lot more rugged. It makes sense, because their business isn’t only rocks, it is all the equipment to work with them, such as tumblers and other «rock type» equipment.
As years have passed, when I walk in there, it seems that their displays are getting more on par with other local competitors. It is turning into not only an awesome supplier (it always has been), but it is also a very beautiful space.
So if I am so full of compliments, why 4 stars instead of 5?
Where I docked a star was on the jewelry making supplies. Their jewelry for purchase is outstanding, but their supplies for making jewelry is quite dated. I understand that is not their core business, so no judgement from me. I will keep going!

I cannot speak to the selection or price of lapidary equipment. I was looking at crystals/​stones and expected a better selection and a better price given the location. Even Banff has better prices! Check out other stores before this one.
