Gord’s Running Store

I wanted to give only one star so I could have this place to myself, but that would be unethical and in the long term to no one’s benefit I’m sure.
Stopped in today, Monday, from out of town as I didn’t realize Mondays they are usually closed. I was cursing my luck and about to leave, when somebody came to the door and let me buy shoes, which was unexpected but nice so I just went along with it.
I was slightly taken aback when I was served without feeling like I was inconveniencing the store. It took a moment to get over it but then i was able to go along with it.
Great service and great selection of wide sizes. Better selection and prices than Tech Shop. It may be melodramatic of me but I’m very grateful I got in today because I don’t get into the city very often and I have very odd feet and I can’t find shoes that fit within a 1000km². Sometimes it feels like am being punished for my hobbit like podiatric anatomy but not today.

Very involved in the running community, great selection of the best shoes, great service. If you’re looking for a deal they usually have a wall of sale shoes. What you’re paying a little extra for is experienced staff who are going to put you in the appropriate shoes. These people take running seriously.

Very welcoming staff, without being pushy. Also a lot of options to choose from, I ended up with a great feeling pair of running shoes. The fact that they are some pretty wild colours is a huge bonus. Will be back again.
