Great shop, I like the north end location too. They are generally well stocked in the usual metaphysical/new age shop staples. Good prices for crystals and stones. Lots of books and tarot decks. I’ve found better prices on the himalayan salt lamps elsewhere however. Overall if I am looking to stock up on some basics or get some gifts or a fun treat for myself I often find my way to Divine Mine.

Nice selection of new age products including crystals, tarot, incense, books, jewellery, trinkets and knick knacks. I really enjoyed my visit and found the atmosphere calming and relaxing. I purchased quite a few things on my first visit, including lovely locally made incense, a beautiful goddess statue and some nice crystals. Definitely worth a visit, for anyone who is interested in new age or pagan wares. Also they have a great website with lots more products listed that aren’t on show in their store, which is how I found my statue, I just called and they had it ready for me when I arrived!

I’ve walked by this store so many times on my way to Sbux, but the Patchouli smell always put me off from venturing inside. Sorry, I know a lot of people really love the smell of Patchouli, but it gives me a really bad headache and reminds me of a hosed-down outhouse. Unless, of course, I’ve armed myself with Reactine. Which I did, this Friday! This store is TINY and packed with a lot of different gift items, trinkets, jewelry, charms, new-age reading material, crystals to wear, assorted celtic items, incense, candles — I would’ve loved this store when I was in my teens. Service was friendly, without anyone hovering over you suspiciously(but maybe it’s because I’m not a surly kid anymore, with a big backpack and bigger hair :)) and I was able to find two unique gifts for some friends of mine. They even provide you with gift boxes and recyclable shopping bags. Yay, Divine Mine! I will try to stop inside more often. Walking here in the sunshine, beats a trip to the mall any day.

They have a lot of great books, product, mediation supplies and services, from Sound Therapy to Psychics and Astrologers. Unlike most«bookstores» Christine the owner does a great job of bringing together everything from Chakra Jewelery, to Meditation Aids, Incence, Crystals with an increadible arrray of inspiring books, music and event videos. If you live in Calgary, and are part of the«YOGASECT» New Thought, New consciousness and holistic wellness community, this place will feel like home!

The Divine Mine is one of my favorite little shops to buy gifts for the hard-to-buy-for women in my life. Many of my girlfriends believe in the power of intention, and have a spiritual side, whether it comes from a belief in a higher power, or they dabble in the fun of horoscopes, feng shui, numerology or having their tarot cards read with the girls. You can get items from everywhere to a few dollars to a few hundred dollars, so this store definately covers all price ranges. I was in there this weekend for the first time in a few months, looking for stocking stuffers for my two best friends. When I walked in on my left, there were a number of Himilayan salt lamps starting in the $ 30 range. They are kind of neat if you are into that kind of thing: Right in front of me, is the jewellery section, which includes many semi precious stones and natural materials. Much of the jewellery is hippie-ish, so if this is your style, you will go nuts! Some is a little higher end with semi precious stones and crystals. There is also an elaborate book section, where you can get books on anything from power of intention, health related books, «how-to» books on spirituality and even a large selection of tarot cards. There is also a pretty good selection of crystals and stones. What I value, is that there are often descriptions of what healing properties the different stones have. if you like display items make out of stones, there is no shortage of spheres, balls, wands and other products. You can even book readings here, if you are looking for some guidance from their local psychic or medium. Sage, color therapies, clothing, blankets, instruments — its all here! Check out the Divine Mine for all things spiritual! 20⁄30

This is a nice little store if your looking for new age stuff. They have an assortment of books, statues, home décor, etc. They pretty much have the same selection you would see in any other new age store. Actually they reminded me alot of Acendant Books in Edmonton. The one thing I did like was the wall hangings-they are large and well priced even though they are for hindus. The only problem I have with this store is its incredibly small and cramped and the selection is rather limited. There is next to no room to move around at times! I have met the owner of the store and she seems quite nice. She did a special order for somthing I wanted which impressed me. I will come again.

Maybe it’s the incense. Maybe it’s because of all the healing crystals in the room. Or maybe it’s because of the soothing colours and yummy tea. Regardless, if you’re into crystals, astrology, numerology, meditation, massage, reiki, angels and the like — you’ll find that the vibes in this store are tranquil, peaceful and funky. The Divine Mine has a great selection of oracle cards, from Doreen Virtue’s angel cards to fairy cards. Lots of gifts and books on various aspects of spirituality and the occult. They also offer a variety of classes and workshops, such as Reiki Level 1, Astrology Basics, Ego Management Workshop and monthly meditations. Their selection of healing crystals is pretty respectable for a store their size. They don’t have all the crystals as the local lapidaries do, but having been to two lapidaries, I can tell you that the Divine Mine has a more comfortable environment. The staff is generally warm and very helpful, especially when shopping for presents. Their website is extremely informative too. They even have healing crystals for pets! Maestro lost his carnelian(for health) a long time ago. However, his jade pendant(for longevity) has been holding steady since we bought in in the spring. Pundits would say that he was meant to have the jade all along. The quality of their products is excellent. I’ve gotten numerous compliments on the quality and beauty of the crystals I’ve gotten myself or as gifts, the jewelry and the jewelry cages for my stones. Parking is a little tight around the store, which is the main reason for the –1 star. Prices vary from reasonable to «man, I could get this cheaper elsewhere». Mind you, by the time you’re done driving all over the city to find that cheaper deal, you might as well just buy it at Divine Mine.
