Great store! Anything related to a party is here. I’ve gone for large helium balloons a few times. Almost any party theme, age, color, they have it! Also, the staff was really helpful and super nice. I like to support local and Canuck amusements has been around for a long time.

Canuck Amusement is The definitive party supply shop. Also being one of the largest Trophy and Award shops makes make it a great one stop shop for any event.

This place was my Halloween saviour! Avoiding the Halloween Alleys and not wanting to spend a fortune, my friend and I poked our beaks in here to see what was up.
They had an excellent supply of pre-​packaged costumes, make-​up, decorations and vampire fangs! and these costumes were cheaper then when my friend had pre-​spotted her Banana outfit at Value Village.
Cheaper than Value Village you say? Better believe it! Costumes were also 20% off the week before H-​ween! If you wanted to be a sexy Kermit the frog, they had a costume for that.
Now when I came the second time with my Fiancé searching for a last minute costume the Saturday of Halloween weekend, selection was a lot slimmer, but that is to be expected and for shame you last minute shoppers, for shame!
They have a million colours of balloons, but parking is a bit of a shambles, being behind the Safeway, and you can only turn right out of the lot because of the median. Save yourself the hassle and park in the Safeway and walk.
And I thought this place only sold custom trophies, I will be back next time I need party décor, raffle tickets or Elvis glasses!

While I haven’t frequented this store enough to give it a four as an overall party supply store, one of its staff members certainly earned it for the customer service I got here last week.
I came in looking to rent a helium tank. All they had were the big tanks for $ 80/​day. A big tank is totally not what I needed, way to big in fact. The guy helping me suggested one of the disposable helium tanks… but those are crap. The balloons last for like 2 hrs before they start floating down to the ground. 3 if you’re lucky. Anyway, this is where the staff member launched into an explanation about what makes your balloons last a really long time. He took me over to their helium tank and proceeded to show me the extra latex coating they use to coat every balloon (which apparently helps the balloon stay afloat for like 3 – 5 days).
I was thankful for the extra info, and for the fact that he didn’t try and talk me into renting the tank anyway. He did apologize for not having what I needed and suggested maybe trying Praxair for my own tank if I were going to use it often.
Anyway, customer service like that can be hard to find. You’ll see me checking out Canuck again sometime for other party things!

Ah, so this is what they mean by party favours. It’s not contraband after all, but rather, crêpe paper. That explains the unpleasantness at my niece’s birthday party — an honest mistake.
