Got a real 8.18 for 40 $! Everything in the store was half off because it was go skate day. I go here to poke around sometimes if I’m at metro town anyway but the prices have gone up recently but they always have great people working there.

Very bad customer (not) service. I came in to look for a skateboard helmet, found a few up on the wall in the back (no help was offered while I was searching).Waited…Waited…And finaly some guy appears from the back. I seemed to have awaken him from his managerial nap. shows me 2 helmets, I pick one, I lift my head to ask him if he has a box, he slips outback and closes the door.
I wait… Wait…Knock…Nothing.
F*%$#@# him, his store, his beard…
I spent my cash elsewhere!

I haven’t been to West 49 or any other skate shop since 10^th grade… back when I was a skater. Looking at the boards on the wall, I missed what it was like to have a skateboard in high school… oh the memories. I went into the store to get a laser cat shirt from the SNL skit, however, they did not have it in stock. They did have some other funny cool SNL inspired skate shirts… the Boat shirt. I couldn’t pull of any of the shirts. I didn’t find what I was looking for, however, the review is based on awesome customer service. Most of the time, teens in retail don’t know anything about retail or give a shit about their jobs. I found that the staff, although, chill in nature, did a lot more for me customer service wise than other teens in retail do. All they have to do is stop airing that annoying commercial at Christmas time of that spoiled kid not getting what he/​she asked for and we’re all good.

Looking for some shoes for my BF.
We stopped in here. It is a nice sized bright, clean store.
Staff greeted us when we came in, but they were casual, and let us look around without being over bearing.
Over at the Wall o Shoes, we spotted a number of pairs that were on sale.
Summer, came over to help. She was very nice and friendly. She went to the back to look for his size, but unfortunately, none were in stock.
I asked her to bring out a selection in his size. She did, but all of them were about 100 $.
Being tired, hungry, and slightly cranky we decided to come back another time.
