One of the last remaining dumps now that Kingsway Burnaby reno’d theirs. Split among 2 levels. Men’s dressing room small and outdated. The weights and universal machines also too cramped As with all of their gyms, parking is at a premium. Thank goodness they’re going to be moving.

I used to work around here, and this used to be my gym before I changed locations of my employment, and I remember having a review of this place before the name changed to add«Steve Nash» to the title. What has changed since I have come back, I can see some renovations of the main floor, but the problems that persisted are still there. Located right on the Burnaby/Coquitlam border, this place is located in a little plaza where they are the main tenant. Depending on what time you come, you’re going to have fits with this parking lot!(Unless your willing to park far, and walk!) I was here before the reno, and after, so I remember how it looked and now the transformation, which really wasn’t much… except for the changing rooms and the new weight machines upstairs. The place is seperated on two levels, that’s after you are done parking your vehicle… you go to the changing rooms, and for the men’s it’s a nightmare. I don’t get it… it’s narrow, small, and it’s like some meeting zone. There’s a tv in the changing room with volume on the channel, talk about letting people just chill, like on the toilet. Everytime I have been here there is constant conversation going on here, and it’s not like this place is big. People just don’t leave, and yap and yap and yap… really guys… like really. Fine… after you get done in there then you head on outside, there is a women’s only on the bottom floor past the main check-in desk. The bottom has a few elliptical machines and their 30 second fitness, too bad the lights there for the timer don’t really work!(come on guys. get this fixed). When you head up the tight stairs upward(that’s if you don’t bump into some people on the way) you see an area that is mostly cardio, then you get to their weight machine/free weight room, with a small stretching area. It’s alright, as they have some newer machines. Some people here just talk too much, on their phones while on the machines, sit around at others, stand around talking on the stairway, I even saw one of the people working here, walking through the gym eating his half cut mini watermelon, a little unprofessional now. It’s just a slapstick of stuff going on at this health club. I really like keeping my health up at these gyms, I’m glad I just don’t have to come to this one anymore.
