My boyfriend’s father been going here for years and has been a loyal customer. My bf has been giving his dad this clothes for drying cleaning for over 8 years. Few years ago, my bf notice his shirt did not came back clean. He shrugged if off because his family has been going here for so long. Then, recently, his $ 100 pants came back from the dry cleaners and had a hole in it. The hole was in the shape of the end of a coat hanger. My bf was fed up and asked his dad to bring it back to the dry cleaners and complain. Given his family been providing business for this place for years, my bf assume things will be corrected, as in a refund for the dry cleaning would at least be provided. However, they charged $ 5 to his dad for mending the hole. And the mending was bad. This place is horrible. They wreck your clothes. If you come back to complain, they are in denial and then charge you more to correct the issue. You can be a loyal customer who been going there for over 15 years and they will still gave you the middle finger. My bf will not be handing his clothes over for dry cleaning there. He will also do everything he can to ensure his father no longer goes there. Hope they enjoyed losing a loyal customer.

If I could give zero stars I would but Unilocal makes you have to click at least 1. DONOTGOHERE! My girlfriend brought her favourite Aritzia blouse here to get dry cleaned, she picked it up a few days later, got it home and discovered it had a 1 inch tear in the shear fabric. Rather than tell her«hey sorry we messed up and damaged your garment, we will replace it» they said nothing, letting her pick it up and obviously hoping she wouldn’t notice. The owner(Jasper) wasn’t very apologetic for such a major f@$k up, he just said go buy another one and I’ll reimburse you. They no longer sell this top at Aritzia so she had to get something that wasn’t as nice. The owner refused to let her keep the old top even though she was still able to wear the damaged one with a jacket as the tear was at the back. So in the end my girlfriend just wanted her top cleaned, she ended up having to drive to 2 Aritzia’s, to the dry cleaner’s 3 times, losing her favourite shirt and ending up with a shirt she doesn’t like that much. So if you want to get dicked around and risk losing a cherished piece of your clothing by all means go to Royal Oak Dry Cleaners! If not, stay far far away!

Out of convenience I’ve come here twice, and I have to say that it was two times too many. Had some normal makeup stains on a few dresses I dropped off — when I picked them up they told me that they couldn’t do anything with the stains on two of them. Great. The other two dresses were fine. Then took in two fall coats for a seasonal cleaning — BOTH came back with noticeable fading in color. One was a $ 700 coat that I’ve had dry-cleaned before elsewhere with no fading — so obviously it’s an issue with whatever chemicals they’re using. I also took the previously mentioned dresses to another dry-cleaner recently, and the stains came out«easy, no problem.» They do seem like nice people(hence the extra star to ease my conscience for this bad review), but their prices aren’t all that cheap, and frankly, with the cost to replace the ruined items, I just can’t afford to bring my stuff back here anymore.

Only used them once, but wanted to put them on the map. Despite the really awful looking display wedding dress in the front, they’re nice people with electronic ticketing for your dry cleaning. I got my pants done in a rush, and they came out nicely pressed, and missing the cat hair that I had dropped them off with. They’re open by 7am, so at least I can stop by on my way into work.
