Ordered a large pesto chicken on Tuesday. Crust was crunchy and dried — sign of business was slow. A few pieces of caramelized onion tasted like they turned bad already. Dough didn’t rise enough. Must be new owner from the noise of pounding on the dough. Wouldn’t go back again. Not worth $ 20. One thing that was done well was the order was ready for pick up at the specified time.

The prices are cheap and the delivery is always on time which is why I order from here in a pinch, however, I take one bite and I am reminded why this is a sub par pizza. It’s the cheese that I am not pleased with. I’ve had other fast food guilty pleasure pizzas and the cheese was never the issue with me.

Panago Pizza has always been reliable for pizza. It’s an added bonus that it’s a Canadian owned Pizza chain which I’ve been ordering since they were known as Panagopoulos pizza. Panago has been famous for using lots of 100% real Canadian Cheese back in the late 80’s and 90’s. I’m a big fan of cheese and it’s the reason why Panagopoulos pizza was my favourite pizza back in the 80’s and 90’s. They were famous for putting lots of tasty cheese and loads of toppings. Every since they changed their name from Panagopoulos to Panago in 2000, and the quality went downhill such as a lot less cheese, cheese that didn’t taste like cheese, less toppings and no more stamps for free pizzas. Now, it’s 2013, and I’m glad that Panago is going back to its roots. They’re starting to put a lot more cheese on their pizzas. Only this time they don’t advertise that it’s 100% real Canadian cheese, since Canadian cheese is very expensive. Heck, I don’t care if it’s American cheese; just add the cheese because I love cheese. I had the Primo Pollo pizza with pesto sauce, grilled chicken, fire-roasted tomatoes, red peppers, caramelized onions, roasted garlic and mozzarella cheese. They were quite generous with all of the toppings, including the cheese. To be honest, the cheese didn’t taste as good as the cheese that I remembered back in the 90’s, but they’re on the right track for putting back the cheese on their pizza. I also had their Mediterranean flavoured wings which has garlic, oregano, lemon and extra virgin olive oil. It was tasty, but a little on the salty side. It was also nice that it wasn’t overcooked or charred.

We enjoyed a medium regular crust half Hawaiian, half new York Deli pizza with the dips(Ranch and Chipotle). What a yummy pizza!
