K-mix is great little karaōke and food ordering company that is a fun place to hang out with a few friends or family if you’re looking for something out of the box to do! They have about 10 private soundproof karaōke rooms where some are small, medium or large depending on your group size. Rates are reasonable about 15 or $ 20 an hour per person I believe. They do have lots and lots of songs catering to all cultures but unfortunately sometimes you cannot always get the vocal support while the karaōke music is playing so you have to know all the lyrics yourself. All in all they have a great staff great service very fun clean and professional environment and you can even order food next door from the one restaurant if you want and they’ll deliver it right to your room! I always have a good time when I go over there. Thanks K mix.

Us: «the mics don’t work; can you fix them?» *20 mins later* Staff: «we can’t reimburse the 20 mins we used to fix the mics because our computer system won’t let us.» Us: «What!?» A few friends then caused a scene after which it turned out that they, in fact, CAN reset the time on their system. Gee thanks. I’m trying to express my discontent for K-Mix but I’m at a lost for words right now. I mean apart from my anecdote above, what more CAN I say? Shady business practices, expensive costs, and an abysmal catalog of songs makes K-Mix the worst karaōke I’ve been to. If Gordon Ramsay showed up, he’d probably barf after taking a bite out of your staff members face. 1 Star!

They overcharged us and refused to fix it! Yesterday(Wednesday) at 7pm in the evening, 3 of us went there and started with an ‘all-you-can sing’ package, so it’s supposed to be $ 15×3 + $ 5(minimum room charge for up to 3 people) + tax = $ 56 … We had a friend stopping by to say hi to us from 9:50pm to 10:00pm, whom didn’t sing at all… When we(group of 3) checked out at 11:00pm, they billed us for $ 15×4 + $ 10(minimum room charge for 4 people) + tax = $ 78.40. Even we explained the situation, the guy at the cashier insisted that we’d had 4 people in the very beginning, and also refused to fix it by saying once it’s put into the computer, there’s no way to fix it. Yeah, and I hope that’s a good way to keep a customer.

Karaōke joint without a booze license? Bubble tea doesn’t count, unless those pearl balls are injected with ample doses of alcohol(still waiting on that concept to arise). I’m half-Filipino. Karaōke is bred into the blood of the nation. But my blood is Karaōke-free. However if you pester me enough I will sing, or in this case to make the gf laugh. Walking into the room I was pleased to see a touch screen control. But when I saw the stack of song binders, I was displeased. Looking through a Chinese menu with 200 items on it is bad enough. Alas I sang a few songs.(badly) Now for the exit. Damn guys ripped us off. Price list says $ 18pp/hr for AYCS(all your can sing). No where did it say minimum 3 person charge yet they said it was a policy. After a polite FU, was able to get the bill down. And of course it was CASH-only(not even a receipt). Money cough laundering. I’ll stick to not singing. Anywhere.

Ooops! For those who saw my review of «meh» it was a temporary statement and a placeholder. so I guess I will finish my review now. But really — it was MEH. I am not much of a karoker. I did it about 10 years ago alot and try to move forward haha… but everyone wanted to do it so it was kind of like a childhood memory. Some friends this was better than Galchae, which I had read on Unilocal it is actually pretty good. But my friend was organizing so they went with this place instead, based on someone else’s recommendation… through the grapevine, I found out there would be no alcohol served at this place and without the fluids, it’s hard to loosen up. When we walked in through the front door, it was SUPER bright, and I was mistakenly thought that I had walked into an A&W as there was a large counter to the side and everyone was wearing bright orange t-shirts as uniforms. Leading us through a hallway that was super bright like a cheesy music video, we entered a large dark room with comfy couches and a large TV and two mikes. You can find your songs either on the TV screens or through the numerous binders which I can’t say was completely organized. Entering songs was pretty efficient and easy and I think that between the 10 of us, we made the most out of the situation. including drinking some juice in the parking lot *hint hint, knudge knudge* The place serves snacks, pop and bubble tea, although the jelly I wanted had been sold out. What was incredibly disappointing, aside from no alcohol, was the fact that the place was incredibly hot and stuffy. No air circulation whatsoever that we had to leave the door opened. When we had asked for water, the workers told us that it would be a $ 2.50 charge. Is that illegal? charging for tap water? What a rip off… I think someone should have fainted and made them responsible for it. Overall they were not very helpful at all. We ended up singing from 11 — 3am in the morning and with drinks came to $ 25 /person. 4+ hours with drinks — I think that is a pretty reasonable deal… but I would not go back any time soon. Oh. and although bf has an account now, I somehow managed to get him to put his two cents on this place: «cool facility — very modern and cool looking, decent selection of songs — lots of new song. but crappy service and no alcohol… not sure if it was a good value.»
