What they do have here is pretty nice, but one thing that Haru lacks is a decent variety of items, especially traditional bakery items. Much of what they do have has an obvious influence from Korean and other Asian style bakeries, so some of what they do have is harder to find at a more traditional North American style of bakery. Haru isn’t a bakery that I’d go across town to shop at, but if I happen to be shopping a Choices(next door), sometimes I’ll stop in and buy something. Haru is just okay IMHO. (Note to Joe: they’re Korean, not Japanese)

Past few times I’ve gone there, they are closed, even though the sign on the door says they should be open. Don’t know whether they’ve closed the business, or changed their hours, but an updated sign on the door would be useful.

They have these sausages, wrapped in pastry and then zig-zagged with this sweet ketchuppy type glaze. I suppose that might not sound delicious, but they are. Their croissants and cream horns are also well made and tasty.
