I had a great time at this location. The vibe is laid back and casual. The staff was friendly and very attentive. The prices are a little more than I remember but perhaps they’re in line with most casual dining restaurants. I had the Royale With Cheese Burger beer infused cheddar, bacon, onions, portobello mushrooms, house ketchup, on a freshly baked brioche bun. This burger was out of this world. It was juicy, right balance of flavour and well worth the price. The next time I get a craving for a burger, I’ll be heading back to Earls. FYI: parking is very easy to find. There’s a HUGE parking lot just a few steps from the restaurant.

I come here all the time. Service is always great and the food is even better. I have never order anything that has tasted bad. Service is fast too. Most I have waited for my dinner has been about 10mins.

Had a dinner here with my husband, brother and dad after trying to get in last minute at 2 other local restaurants. I ordered the greens and fennel salad, while others ordered a curry dish and the Cajun chicken. The Cajun chicken was apparently ‘ok’ although boring and the accompanying potato salad was missing the bacon mentioned at order. The curry was also apparently ok but my salad was disgusting. The greens were slimy, rusted and wilted. I picked out as many of the bad pieces as possible and ate what I safely could but had to stop after accidentally eating a few pieces of mushy, decomposed leaves. We were also seated with a clear view of the kitchen and the kitchen floor was disgusting… I mean department of health filthy. I would NOT recommend this restaurant or at least location at all.

Everything about this place was just«meh.» The hostess took a super long time to seat us, the service was rather slow and the restaurant was no where near full capacity. We ordered nachos with chipotle chili, Hunan Kung Pao with chicken, chicken tenders with yam fries, and the Royale with Cheese Burger. Nachos: Not enough cheese and the green salsa wasn’t impressive. Chicken tenders with yam fries: My favourite dish. The sauce for the fries was pretty good. Hunan Kung Pao: Too sweet without any other flavours. Just fell flat. Royale with cheese burger: Pretty delicious actually but again, not memorable. All in all, not a memorable experience but not bad since it was raining out and we were hungry.

Ended up here with some friends after a late Meetup. Ordered Truffle Fries to share. Truffle Fries($ 8.25) with our custom salt and pepper blend, truffle aioli –Where’s the truffle flavour and aroma? I got just a faint whiff of it. –Tasted like heavily peppered french fries. –For a bit more, you can get a really good portion of truffle parmesan fries from Joe Fortes during their Happy Hour. Bibimbap($ 15) Hot stone rice bowl, with carrots, mushrooms, zucchini and soft poached egg, sesame chili sauce –My friend’s order. Didn’t get to try it, but notable for not having a lot of rice. –Bowl was maybe only half full and most of it seemed to be the other ingredients, carrot, mushrooms, etcetera, plus the tofu for which she paid $ 3 extra. Spacious location with some interesting décor, such as a giant chimpanzee. Table spacing also seemed very good, giving you reasonable privacy from neighbouring diners. Currently they have a special promotion where buying a $ 50 gift card gets you an extra $ 10 usable only during a limited time in January/February(i.e., during the slow restaurant time when everyone else is doing Dine Out Vancouver).

The burgers are very good but it’s too pricy. The waiters are doing a little too much… The place is quite fancy!

I’ve been to this location many times and the food and service never disappoints. The atmosphere is warm and comforting and the music is not too loud so it’s easy to have conversations without having to yell. All of the waiters and waitresses are very friendly and positive. I went for brunch and ordered the chorizo and mushroom hash, without the mushrooms, and it was AMAZING. Overall I have no complaints since Earls always gives one of the best services.

My boyfriend and I come here all the time, to the extent that most of the staff here know us. They have always been exceptionally friendly, with a few exceptions to some but what can you expect with a restaurant. But they are very welcoming, and the food is always great and prepared in a timely manner. They are pretty good at getting you your cheque when you’re ready, unlike some places where it feels like you wait ages just to get out. In any case, I highly recommend it! The male servers are the absolute best.

We really enjoyed our lunch here, everything was delicious. Service was prompt and attentive. Quiet for a weekend lunch. The side green salad was only $ 1.75 to add on and it was delicious. The mushrooms were also worth adding on to the 9oz steak. Good coffee. Will definitely come again.

After our disappointing first round(il-cha) at Tairyou Ichiba we went to Earls nearby for the second round. I was craving Korean fried chicken with beer(chi-maek), and Chicken Wings seemed to be the best option. Their original Hot Wings($ 13) are deep-fried and tossed in hot sauce, but we asked for salt & pepper chicken wings. You have a few options for flavours so ask your servers. The wings came with house-made creamy parmesan dip and fresh celery slices. Wings tasted really good. Crispy on the outside and moist on the inside. There was just enough salt to make them tasty. Tips: Hot Wings are only $ 10 on every Wednesday. After drinking a couple of beers and wines we ordered some Nachos($ 13) to munch on. Our waitress highly recommended it. The nachos were loaded with diced tomatoes, peppers, jalapenos, avocado, swiss/cheddar cheese and sour cream. Even though I am not a big fan of chips, I really liked their nachos. Very crispy tortilla chips with fresh veggies were not so heavy, and one of the best options for drinking snacks :) PROS + Friendly, attentive service + Food was tasty and very well prepared + Good for causal drinking + Clean washroom RATING Food 4.0÷5.0 Ambience 4.0÷5.0 Service 4.0÷5.0 Price $$-$$$ Address: 4361 Kingsway, Burnaby, BC Phone number: 604−432−7329 Hours of Operation: Monday 11am-11pm Tuesday 11am-11pm Wednesday 11am-Midnight Thursday 11am-Midnight Friday 11am-1am Saturday 11am-Midnight Sunday 11am-11pm Earls Menu & Official Website

I haven’t been to Earls on Kingsway in years so we decided to come for happy hour on a Friday night. It was pretty busy so service took a little longer than usual. However, we were able to get our happy hour appetizers and drinks in before the 6:00PM cut off so I’m happy about that. Our waiter was friendly and there aren’t any big complaints here. My favorite out of all the appetizers were the Tuna Tostasdas. They were $ 2 each and delicious! You can enjoy them on the patio in the summer too.

This is another trendy place in Burnaby. Our server, Alyssa took a little time to warm up to us but ended up being friendly and attentive. This place has lots of pretty servers in tight dresses, of which I am not complaining. They may be taking themselves just a little be too seriously, however. I had the Bibimpap with tofu, a rice based dish with other good stuff. It was very, very good. My wife had the clam chowder, which was a nice blend of seafood, potato and broth, with a salad, and rated the chowder a ten. All-in-all a good experience even though it was very noisy.

For what it is which is a burger joint it does that well. Stick to simple dishes and drinks and you’ll be happy. Some good appys too. Don’t sit outside. The speakers suck and the music is over loud and screechy. Wish they would fix it.

I’ve been to this location multiple times, and I’ve never had bad experiences but it’s really just been standard. I visited last Thursday with a girlfriend and was joined by Rick after and I feel compelled to write a review about our server. Her name was Sidney/Sydney I knew I should have kept the bill. She was AWESOME. We came in for dinner around 8 pm and it was pretty busy so we waited about 10 minutes for a booth. Earls is pretty standard in terms of food and drink so I want to note the things about our server that really stood out to me and made this experience worth writing about. Once we were seated, she brought us our menus and she actually noticed before I did that there were crumbs left on the table from the last person and she came back with a towel to clean it off without being asked to. Not just at Earls but other restos I’ve been to especially the big busy chains(joeys, cactus, etc.) I’ve seen leftovers on the seats and on the table and usually I just take a napkin and wipe it myself. I was extremely impressed that she paid attention and did something about it. My friend ordered a bottle of red for us, and when Sidney came back out to let us know that they were actually sold out of it she didn’t just come back empty handed. She brought out a different bottle that was«comparable» in terms of price and let us try it. She suggested something instead of just coming out and delivering bad news. I didn’t particularly enjoy this wine so we ended up choosing something different but nonetheless I appreciated her effort. We ordered a tuna tocata or something to share as an appy and then we went with the tuna melt grilled sandwich. She brought out our food piping hot which tells me she was paying attention to when our food was ready for presentation(I’ve had medium warm things before at this location like the Asian rice bowl). She checked up on us without being rude or interrupting and she asked us about the bill before she left us to our conversation. I find that these big chain restaurants sometimes forget that just because they are big and busy, that they don’t need to pay attention to quality and service but Sidney was a complete standout. If you visit this location ask to be seated with her! I know I will

I will admit, I haven’t been to many earls since Cactus club exploded onto the scene. In my opinion, the food can’t hold a flame to CC. The service was poor, and the place wasn’t that busy! But 5 dollar margaritas made us forget about that part a little ;) Décor needs updating, It still looks so similar to when I would come here as a kid, just less paper mache roosters. The layout makes it crazy loud here. A huge hall room with everyone yelling at each other. I might be back for more 5 dollar margs, but I wasn’t sold on my return to earls.

I am a fan of Earl’s. Pretty consistent amongst locations. Their Rhino beer offerings are good as well. Service has always seemed to be very attentive and I have never been disappointed with the food I have had. Yes, it is a chain but certainly one of the better ones.
