I was shopping in the mall at microsoft and saw this store. I always wanted to buy ice wines and was curious about the wines when I saw the store. I was browsing around and the staff greeted me. Also she offered me some wine tasting when I was looking at the red ice wine. It tastes so good and I bought one bottle right away. Great service!

As part of the Summer Hill Pyramid Winery business, this little outlet allows general customers in Vancouver to experience that bottled wine without the hefty price tag. If they want the big dollar items– try the wine collections in any of the high-end restaurants, and if you want the super cheap wine, Superstore is just across the walkway. But most of the time, especially when I am hosting a house party, I much rather have the lady behind the counter(April is my girl I go to ask) to pair a reasonably priced bottle with what I’m making for that night. Key to a good wine shop is accessibility, customer service, and quality of choice within the store. And I believe this store has all three of the qualification. :)

I noticed this place as I was waiting in line at Superstore, as it is directly across from it. Instead of my usual six pack of pbr from the nearest BC Liquor Store I decided to be fancy and check out this specialty wine store. I ended up with a bottle of the Painted Turtle Merlot. It was just under $ 10 and okay(so much for being fancy!). The store itself is decent. They didn’t really have anything that I would go out of my way to buy and the prices were the same as most other places. The cashier seemed very uninterested in serving me and gave off some harsh«I hate my job» vibes which was a big downer. I’d say this place is worth checking out once if you already happen to be in that part of the mall and were already planning on buying wine.
