I’ve bought and sold a lot of CD/DVD/Blu Ray/Games here over the years. When you’re selling, they are a bit pickier that some places but nobody gives you better value for quality used media. As a buyer I’ve found some great deals and hard to find items. Their website is really good, I’ve ordered a few times, you can get items sent in from other stores within a couple of days and pick them up at your local store… pretty handy feature. Over all I’m a fan of the chain, I’ve had great dealings with Oakville, Hamilton & Burlington. As for them being picky buying, that’s really what you want then to be when you’re a buyer! I’d guess I’ve bought near 100 discs over the years and never had a quality issue. Always mint or near mint.

I guess I’ve bought about a dozen DVDs from this shop over the past little while. Never had any problems with the discs in terms of their condition. Generally, most of the BGO stores are pretty good about the quality /condition of their CDs and I have yet to of returned one as a result of some quality /condition issues. In many ways, the inventory and staff issues(if any) at any given BGO location is a on-issue since you can review the inventory of all stores on-line and have any items you want shipped to the store nearest you. Simple. However, if you’re just popping in the store to browse around to ’ see what’s there ’ the Burlington store is, well, — just O.K. I’ve found that a 10 — 15 minute drive to the Oakville store will provide you with a much better selection and size of inventory of CDs and DVDs and overall ’ browsing experience ’ — though the game selections at both stores are about the same as far as I can tell. I also find the staff at the Oakville store to be a bit more attentive and customer friendly. And as with any BGO stores, you should know your prices before buying. In many many instances, the prices of some used CDs /DVDs are the same — if not more expensive — than the same brand new CDs /DVDs you might find at one of the big box stores or even on line at Amazon or Indigo. Where BGO often comes through and shines is when you’re trying to find a dated or obscure item you can’t find ’ new ’ anywhere else. Under those circumstances, BGO can’t be beat.

One of the better bgo stores but staff is still not very knowledgable and spend too much time talking to each other instead of taking care of customers. Quality of discs is very questionable. I have returned a few. Prices are often the same as new! Selection at this location is much better than the others. Never order from their website — only go into store where you can review quality of item yourself.

I’ve always been a fan of Beat Goes On because they are one of the few places who have fair prices and trade in values for nearly everything. I can still trade my CD’s in! This location in particular is good for Bluray movies and videogames. Some suggestions though and warnings : — They do not take original XBOX games or CD singles ATALL — Their prices on older next-gen games(for PS3, XBOX360) are pretty high, but on newer games they are great. $ 39.99 compared to $ 54.99 or more at EBGames. But older games that are $ 9.99 or less at EBGames are $ 14.99−19.99 here. All in all though, a great place to look for used stuff, and they will order from other stores if they have it in stock.
