Another night at our favourite restaurant… we started off with the rizoto balls which are incredible and then with our classic meal of pork schnitzel with vegetables and potatoes. Service was top notch as usual. Thx Downtown Bistro

Would give zero stars if it was an option… Worst dining experience I have had in years! Out with a group of ladies for a nice meal, ordered the grilled vegetable salad. The menu described a delightful mix of vegetables, greens and pecan crusted chèvre. The salad arrived with blue cheese which makes me nauseous. I immediately brought it to the server’s attention and she removed the salad to the kitchen, returning with the exact salad with chèvre on it. There was no sign of any crusting, but that is besides the point. I took one bite and could taste the blue cheese and immediately told the server that I no longer wanted the salad. They brought another version of the salad that I emphatically refused telling them that the blue cheese had spoiled my appetite and any interest I had in the meal. There was no apology or offer of an alternative choice, and to top it off, when my bill came I was charged an 18% gratuity for my drinks! Brutal service! Disgusting cop-​out on the kitchen’s part. Manager should have done something about this… will never return! Will be sure to advise all of my foody friends in Burlington to avoid!
