We were lucky, no staring lady and friendly staff. We had salads and their Cajun Cesar variant was great.

I would give this place a negative star rating if a could… Should have walked out the moment I saw the owner counting his cash rather than taking the time to seat us at a table. My family and I waited around ten minutes for someone to tell us that the patio was closed and that sitting outside was not an option. You know what? That was fine, we would just wait for a table inside because there were not many other restaurants around the area and we were hungry. The owner finally decided to take a break from counting his bills and set up a table for us. Now what happened next was not really the restaurant’s fault but I thought it would be worth mentioning. One of the individuals from the party sitting directly behind us decided to stare at my family and I at least 10 times in the span of us entering the restaurant to sitting down. I tried to shake it off, but she continued to glance over. Did I have something on my face? Her gaze was as if she was trying to belittle me. I understand if you accidently glance at something twice but this was different. It was clear that her mother had never taught her manners. Guess she didn’t know that blatantly staring at someone was rude? Originally from Toronto, I had never experienced something like this before, considering how multicultural the city is and welcoming people are of diversity. Our waitress greeted us unenthusiastically and have us our menus. I prayed that our food would be enough to make up for the horrible sequence of events mentioned above. *Spoiler alert* ITWASN’T. My «jerk chicken» was tender but the«jerk» portion of the dish simply tasted like a slather of some store bought sauce. The burgers and fries were alright and my mom’s spaghetti and meatballs were not really worth mentioning. OH, remember the girl I mentioned from before? SHECONTINUEDTOSTAREATMEWHILE I WASEATING. To top it off, the ambiance… sucked — for a lack of better words. The kitchen staff kept dropping things and crashed a few plates which made for some lovely background noise. Our waitress didn’t bother to fill our waters unless we asked and service was extremely slow and LOUSY. Round of applause for Davinci Ristorante for providing me with the worst restaurant experience in my life.
