Excellent Food, Tasty Creative Beers, Friendly Service, and Reasonable Prices, What more could you ask for. The only thing is I’d recommend reservations as it can busy fast in here.

It was super busy when we booked for the brewery tour(on St. Patty’s day), but they still managed to accommodate us for the tour. The appetizers were freshly made and not from a freezer or deep fried like most pubs. If you like German beer and/or craft beer this place is great! Clean, good service, good food and good value. Thumbs up for me!

Came here for the brewery tour since I was passing through Barrie. Being a small brewery, I truly enjoyed the home feel of the staff and tour guide taking us in the back and giving us a detailed account of the brewing process, including the history of how they brewery came to be. I appreciated our guide also giving us a few samples to try, all the way back from the grains. Definitely helped decide what to order later. I opted for a flight tour, based on the recommendations from the guide and our server. The polar pumpkin brew was quite a surprise, and the billy bishop brown would be a favourite of mine-smooth and easy to drink. I cannot comment on the food, but my experience for the brewery tour was excellent and would recommend it if you are in the area and looking for something to do.

Came to try the beers. We were welcomed by two very rude waitress. To start with she made a strange face asking if we had reservations. When we said no she didn’t look happy. Note however that there was NOBODY in the bar, not a single living being. I tried to ask about the prices of he shirts and again the answers were always rude and plain impolite. Now for the beers. I asked first what kind of beer they had and again the rudeness was on display with a «we only brew ales here», as if I’m supposed to know before we came! The beers are good but I can’t give anything else given the quality of the service. 1 star.

Live and town and never heard of the place until I saw it on WagJag. I’m not a craft/micro brewery beer guy but my boyfriend is, he enjoyed his beer and bought a few to take home. Food was good, had the flatbread with dip and deep fried dill pickles for apps, pizza and fish’n chips for mains, not complaints at all. Live entertainment on a Saturday night, place is kind of hipster I guess. Only thing that I would change is the lighting in the brewery at night, they should turn off the florescent lights and shine some coloured halogens or something on the brew kettles, the florescent was very bright and sterile in the back while the front bar and seating area was more warm and inviting.

Have you ever been to a restaurant where the waitress tells you not to order something? And she’s not being sarcastic? Welcome to Barnstormers. They’ve got the building blocks for a great establishment but fail on execution. I’m not sure why they list«What’s On Tap» when you can’t actually order any of those beers. Makes zero sense… if you’re just brewing these varieties, than SAYSO. Also, after the meal we understood why our waitress tried to talk us out of certain dishes. Sorry, but this is a massive fail.

You. Know. The food is really good. So is the beer. However, we had a small birthday party, all desperate bills and without consent or notice, they automatically charge an 8% tip to your bill. For downtown Toronto even, that’s steep. However in Barrie, where small business work hard to earn money, it is very disappointing. The screwed up our orders and double charged me, they argued with me and wouldn’t rerun me the over charge. Keep away if you are coming as a party.

Brought a couple friends from out of town. Many of the beers on the menu weren’t on tap. We waited over half an hour for our hamburgers which were very burnt and tasteless. For a $ 14 dollar burger much more was expected . Service was also sub par . Won’t be returning.

Brilliant! Loved the atmosphere and the theme. Enjoyed one of their craft beers and it was great. Staff was friendly and helpful. Food was good!

Craft Beers brewed locally! If you in Barrie area or on your way to Cottage or skiing, make this a pit stop. Pick up some bottles and growler to go! Beer samples are $ 9 for a flights 4 of 5oz each. And of course food to go with your beer! Love the aviation theme.
