We got here early(11:45am) for lunch. It gets crowded pretty quickly, and space is tight. Food was great(got one of the chicken sandwiches with soup). Portions are average, and it was a good lunch spot. Good lunch spot but probably not worth waiting a long time in line.

We stopped in to get a To Go sandwich for a hike around Lake Louise. Even though they were packed, they whipped up a sandwich for me. What a yummy treat as we tore into it later. We can’t wait to dine in with them in the future.

The food was great(I especially recommend the blue corn chicken enchilada), they also have a good selection of kid– friendly menu items. Staff were very friendly and attentive. Freshly made food prepared in front of you in the open kitchen. A great find in Banff.

My husband ordered the turkey club and a chilli — he said this was all average. The chilli has a distinct taste of tomato paste and was very rich. What I ordered was above average though. I allergic to eggs and dairy — they made substitutions for my veggie focaccia and where very catering. The lentil soup I ordered was okay; better than canned but not quite extraordinary. The service was great. They were able to modify to fit my vegan lifestyle and checked on us often.

I came here for a quick lunch with a group of 6 before heading out to Johnston Canyon. The ambience of the place was cozy, and we were seated right away, which was nice. Their menu has a lot of different options ranging from sandwiches, pastas, pizzas, and various Southwestern dishes. I had been eating a lot of burgers and sandwiches during my trip, so I ended up getting the quesadilla and the Mexican lentil soup. The quesadilla serving size was generous, and it was perfect for my desire to carb-load before the Johnston Canyon hike. It was pretty standard, with fresh pico de gallo on the side and I liked that they gave about half an avocado too. The Mexican Lentil Soup was delicious, and I’d highly recommend it to anyone who is looking for a tasty and filling soup option. They allowed me to add the soup on with my dish for a few dollars(vs. $ 7.50 for just a soup order). My only moderate complaint was that the food took a while to arrive, but perhaps it was because we had a larger party. Nonetheless, once it came, everyone seemed satisfied with the meal. Overall, I think that Coyotes Southwestern Grill is a good(not great) but decent, casual option for lunch in Banff Village. I’d probably give it a 3.5 but since I have to round, I’ll give it a 4 for the Mexican Lentil Soup.

The café latte was delicious, but my dining partner mentioned his drip coffee was one of the worst coffees he had ever had. The saving grace was the food, especially the frittata. I had the Mediterranean frittata while he had the Southwestern frittata. Both were very good(note we ate it with the hot sauce served at the table… Valentina…which paired nicely), but the potatoes served on the side were cold. The waitress(the younger one) was quite efficient, while the older lady waitress seemed agitated especially when I tried to walk by to the bathroom(I felt her annoyance for getting in her way). I could tell both ladies were worked hard, and asked if they usually only work with two wait staff, and was told they were one short. Well done ladies if you were short staffed… now I get the annoyance

I stopped into Coyotes for Breakfast one morning while I was in Banff on business. Man, great breakfast! Perfectly scrambled eggs, great Canadian bacon and the potatoes were great too… they appeared to be fried in chorizo grease(which I love, because I’m from Arizona). I would have loved to had dinner here… next time.

The polenta that is served under the ratatouille was probably the best we have ever tasted, anywhere, ever! However, we were told there was no dairy in the polenta & we are 95% certain there was, likely goat cheese. I had the shrimp & goat cheese enchiladas & they were also delicious. The side salad that comes on the plates had a nice lite dressing. Desserts were very good as well. Berry sour cream pie was more like bread pudding than what I expected & delicious a’la mode. Pecan pie was more like a custard filling with pecans on top. Very non-traditional and yet quite delicious. We will be back.

Stopped in here for lunch today after hiking up to Johnson Canyon. Hearty black bean chili hit the spot. The corn bread was a little dry and crumbly. The beer I had was not very cold. The location is good. Lots going on in this area. This place is good if you just want to grab a quick bite. Not too busy. The menu is kind of limited.

This place is very OK for me. Pricey for the quality of the food. I had the«perfect lunch» with southwestern sandwich and green salad on the side. It was good, but nothing amazing. I could have done something similar at home for less than $ 12. My husband and cousin thought their dishes were ok as well. My husband paid $ 15 for his dish and left the place still hungry. Tip: the menu in their website is out of date. The real prices are a bit higher.

Nice atmosphere and people. The restaurant was not very crowded in the morning. I loved the freshly squeezed carrot-apple juice. Huevos rancheros were ok with chip corn tortilla. I thought there was too much of cheese to my taste, but overall ok. The food took quite some time to come out although there were not too many people. I would go there again and try something different.

Small restaurant. Nice atmosphere. We had the shrimp and goat cheese enchilada. Excellent. Shrimp perfectly cooked. We also had the grilled vegetable focaccia sandwich with lentil soup. Soup was basic and good. I’m a grilled veggie sandwich lover so was very disappointed in the sandwich which had hardly any grilled vegetables. First off they were diced(normally they are sliced lengthwise and actually grilled) and this seemed like a chintzy stir fry. Secondly, ½ the vegetable portion of the sandwich was a RAW tomato. The sauce was also bland(or maybe missing?). So ½ a success. Portion sizes are adequate but not man sized. My hubby left hungry.

You’d think that food from a restaurant this far north from the southwest wouldn’t be able to deliver authentically flavored food. You’d be wrong! Coyotes is refreshingly different from other restaurants in the area. I’d highly suggest coming here for dinner and ordering their shrimp and goat cheese enchilada. Mmmmm, I’m hungry!

My wife and I stopped in for lunch during mid October and we were pleasantly surprised at how empty it was. The locals all told us to head to Coyotes, so that’s what we did. The sandwiches were delicious and the service was great. I would definitely drop back in for another mid day meal!

This place was really an unexpected treat. The food and service were both outstanding. I tried the salmon which was tasty beyond description. It was seasoned in such a way that offered a seemingly perfect balance between sweet and spicy. Their corn bread was also a great way to start of the meal. All in all, well worth the visit. When I’m back in town, I plan on experiencing the memorable culinary experience that is Coyotes once again.

This restaurant is a 4.5 for me and I’m going to round it off to 5. There was no wait time when my husband and I stopped here for lunch, so we got seated immediately. There is both indoor and outdoor seating area and it was a hot day, so we took a seat indoors by the window. We knew exactly what we wanted to order — Bean chilli soup and Asian flank steak. The food took some time to arrive, but the wait was worth it. The bean chilli soup was good, not extraordinary or unusually different what I’ve had before. The thing that stood out for us was the Asian flank steak. The meal comes with a side of corn bread with butter, grilled bread, and marinated and grilled steak on top, and a side of salad. The meal was topped with salsa and corn. Loved everything on that plate. The steak was very well cooked, tender and juicy. The bread was fab. Salad was great too. This dish alone wants me to dole out a 5 stars to this restaurant.

I don’t write very many three star reviews but for me the food here was meh. I ordered the burger and it was really big but didn’t have a ton of flavor. I did like that they gave you roasted potatoes instead of fries but the sections were cut too inconsistently so they weren’t all cooked all the way through. My dinner mate had the fish tacos which were an odd combo of salmon and cod(so weird) but he said they were pretty good. After totally scamming on people around us I would’ve ordered the calzone if given another chance because it looked really good. The service was good. The waitress was really friendly.

The breakfast was so good, we were so hungry so we ordered an extra meal for we two to share. The frittata and the pancake was amazing. The small place was a little bit crowded but through the open kitchen, you can even communicate with the chef and see how they cooked your meal. And their house brewed coffee was good too.

Yikes has this joint ever gone downhill. It used to be fresh and flavorful but today was bland and boring. The turkey club sandwich was basically a funeral sandwich with processed meat. Veggie quesadilla was just a hot mess of cheese on soggy tortilla. The«potato chowder«was actually more like Heinz tomato sauce and frozen corn niblets. Double yikes

I waited about 20 mins on a saturday. Finally a girl came by and asked for what the groups were. I was alone and she pointed that I could just sit at the bar. I wish she had been by 20 mins prior… The food is good, fresh. Exactly as you think it should be. Nothing fancy. The canadian bacon was very thin, like a ham sandwich meat which was a bit meeeeh. I got a fresh juice, 4 $ and tasty. I would try somewhere else next time but if someone suggested it Id go for sure.

Super Restaurant.
