I ordered a 3-topping Calzone type thing they call a Panzerotti or something(~$ 12), and my girlfriend had a Poutine(~$ 8). They were both fantastic. Mine was loaded w cheese, ingredients seemed very fresh, and the crust was great. We ate in, and it didn’t seem to take any longer to get our food than it would to cook. I’ll go again next time I’m in Banff.

docked a star for the wait time(20 some minutes) as well as the wait for tables as there were only two outdoors. Not great for groups, would have probably been better as takeout. Our meal costed around 40 $ for two 12″ pizzas. We ordered the Hawaiian, which was good, and the meaty one(can’t remember the name but had a variety of different meats on it), which was on the salty side. We asked for some water and received tap water, which is normal, but it had specks of brown in it so we decided not to drink it. overall service was average. not a great family location as it is bordered by liquor stores and a bar

Hot damn is this place ever drunk at night! Granted, because you’re living it up in Banff and have had 8 too many drinks is the very best reason to seek out some tasty Aardvark pizza… But I think that you’ll still find that no matter how many drinks you’ve had before, somehow it seems like everyone else has still had WAY more. Loud, obnoxious, stumbly, rude, and you have to wade through a small sea of them on your way in. The pizza is worth it. Oh, so worth it. The people working there do an alright job of handling the crowd — getting them their pizza and then getting them the hell out. Wish I could tell you more about the pizza than«it’s really good,»… but you know…

Pizza was pretty good. As you would expect from a small town pizza shop. We ordered on a Thursday night at 7:30. They quoted 45 – 60 mins. After an hour and twenty minutes we called and the pizza finally arrived after 90 – 95 minutes.

Donair sub had three thin pieces of meat on it. The thickness of a credit card… for $ 6.39(see pic). Insane! The sweet potato fries were burnt(see pic). Edges black and center dry as hell. French fries tasted like they were reheated in a microwave… chewy and inedible. Gave them two stars for the pizza. It was good. All in all, not worth the price.

Marry me, Aardvark Pizza. I lived in Banff for a couple years in my late teens and just having a place that was open after a night of youthful escapades was wonderful in and of itself. I’m living near Edmonton now and took in a concert in Calgary recently. I figured since it was only a couple hours away, I’d just book it to Banff and spend a couple days hiking around my old stomping grounds rather than spend the rest of my weekend in Calgary. Well, by the time I pulled into Banff, it was after 3 in the morning, and no matter how hard I begged, no hotel would sell me a room. Well, what do you do in situations like these? Go for pizza, of course. Man, it was even better than I remembered. I devoured my two slices of cheese pizza in my car, and I can tell you, despite it being nearly closing time and having bought from a ready-made by-the-slice pizza, it was piping hot and fluffy and fantastic… not dried out and tepid like the stuff you get at 7 – 11 late at night after the attendants have stopped caring. Then I pulled off onto a side street, buried myself in sweatshirts, and tried to get a bit of rest. Not ideal, but certainly one of those nights you always remember, and dinner was definitely the highlight. I see also that they still deliver for free? That’s amazing. I hope anyone who uses this service tips their delivery driver like a sultan… seriously, I love this place.

At this point in my life, I have to consider myself a bit of a pizza connoisseur. Aardvark has done everything right. Tangy sauce, soft but crispy slightly sweet crust. The perfect cheese for fat content and texture. It’s the kind of pizza best eaten straight out of the oven and even better when drunk. I discovered Aardvark three years ago on a NYE trip to Banff — and I’ve been thinking about their tasty pie ever since. Today I had a chance to try it again and it was just as I remembered. Well done with your walk-in slice, boys.

My wife and I wanted to get some pizza and pop late at night. We asked for a half-and-half pizza and some pop(and the guy on the phone even popped into the nearby liquor store to check on some ice wine for us – although we did not end up getting it) and we got it delivered to our hotel room about 40 minutes later. The food was good and the service prompt and courteous. ‘Nuff said.

Great tasting pizza, Caesar salad, and sweet potato fries! Customer service was great as well. We ordered delivery from our hotel and it got there pretty quickly. We would eat here again for sure!

Gigantic calzone! Steaming poutine! Having pizza delivered to our door was the perfect way to cheer us up after getting our car stuck in snow and our late arrival to our hotel at 11pm.

I ordered from them and they delivered to my hotel pretty quickly (first time I had a delivery lady). I had a Greek salad with a pizza, not mind blowing, but you could do a lot worse in a touristy area like Banff Went back the next day and tried a sub on the go, the place is tiny, but has a really groovy feel. The décor is very funky and the service laid back. The prices are more than decent, wish I tried their breakfast, served till 5, it looks pretty sweet.

This is the place the locals(and local help) go hammed up at 2 in the morning. Works for them works for me too. By the slice or by the round, decent prices.

Can get a better pizza in the frozen section at the grocery mart. Quality seems to be okay if you’re 8 beers in.

Found myself in Banff on the Canada Day weekend and found myself, as usual, eating Aardvark pizza. Generally, when it’s three a.m. and you’re half cut, walking down the crowded late-night streets of Banff, there is no finer repast than a hot slice of Aardvark covered in chilis and parmesan. I actually love the controlled riot that forms there around two a.m. with crowds of zombie-drunks screaming garbled obscenities for no apparent reason. Anyway this time out we actually ordered a pepperoni and mushroom and«the Aardvark» eponymous pizza, figuring that if they put their name on it — it must be good. And it was pretty good. Delivery was surprisingly fast. The predominant flavour is «kind of salty» but there’s lots of cheese and the crust is great and most of the toppings seem fresh. Getting it out of the box, loses the late night fun, but still good.

A regular stop anytime we’re in Banff, been going for years. The pizza is always good, that we can vouch for — the other stuff, I don’t know. The greek salad was average but very generous. I like this quirky local place, and as others have noted, it’s a nice change from expensive meals, particularly if you have a family to feed.

Came here cause it was starting to be a wee bit expensive to feed the family while on vacation. Reviews looked ok… so let’s give it a try. Really small but the menu is pretty impressive. Lots of cool combos to try… everything to your standard cheese to Donair pizza! The crust was excellent but the toppings were mediocre. We had a BBQ chicken and there was only 5 pieces of chicken on the whole pizza. Bit disappointing! Delivery was fast but pizza was getting a tad cool. Would I try again? Definitely… but would probably pick up

A tiny hole in the wall that’s off the main strip(though not too far) — my husband remembered coming here several years ago and raved about their poutine, so we went to check them out! The place doesn’t have any seating inside(that’s how small it is) but there’s a couple seats al fresco. I guess most get take-out from here. The poutine(which is what they advertised as the best there is) was really good! The fries were crispy and the gravy and curds were nice and hot but not too salty. They don’t do anything fancy with their poutine — just the classic! I also got a roast beef sub since I didn’t want fries to be my only dinner item — balance, people, balance! The roast beef sub was not good at all — the bread wasn’t even as good as Subway, the beef was hardly noticeable, and the«sauteed veggies» were all very undercooked and raw. I was highly disappointed at my sub. Come for the poutine, just the poutine, and only the poutine!

Longing for a pizza late at night, this place’s ad caught my eye in the Yellow Pages. I wouldn’t be surprised if their claim«the local’s choice» is entirely true! We ordered out so I have no idea what it’s like inside. Service: The pizza arrived really, really quickly. They said 45 minutes but it may have only been a half hour. Food: Maybe hunger truly is the best sauce, but this pizza was delicious. We ordered«The Aardvark,»(shrooms, pepperoni, Italian sausage, green pepper, tomato, onion, black olives) and it was outstanding. The toppings were really fresh, it had just enough cheese, and was not at all greasy. We ordered two«giant cookies» along with the pizza and I was shocked at how good the cookies were. You don’t expect much from a cookie accompaniment at a pizza joint, but these were awesome! I’d recommend them. Other: Decent value if you don’t want to brave the Banff crowds for a sit-in meal and just need something simple and tasty brought to your hotel room. Add a giant cookie, you won’t regret it!

When I went to Banff as a little girl, when thing I always remembered was Aardvark Pizza. Partly because of the name, partly because of the colorful, cartoonish walls, and of course, the pizza. Aardvark Pizza is a tiny hole in the wall pizza joint that makes good pizza almost any time of day or night. They are open from 10am until 4am. They have a menu of traditional and not so traditional pizzas, but you can get anything you like made. They also serve sandwiches, wings and a few other items. Last time I visited it was scorching hot outside, so I waited on the bench outside the door. When my pizza was ready the cook brought it out to me with a smile! Aardvark Pizza is a really cute, unique little pizza place that I will visit every time I go to Banff. The pizza hits the spot, and there’s just something about the place I love. It is also apparently very popular with the after-bar crowd, but I’ve never experienced this myself.
