Won’t find much better restaurant experience in town. The food is stellar. This place makes other restaurants look bad. Amazing dishes. When your menu is on a chalkboard you know you are at the right place because they are constantly changing things up. Only complaint I have is every time we went we had to leave because it was way to hot. It’s tolerable for a while but it became very uncomfortable. I don’t do well in the heat but other than this place is well worth multiple visits. Very nice staff.

We were in town to see the Alton Mills Art Galleries and stopped in for lunch. My wife and I had the homemade pot pies with salad — awesome! Paired with a pint of Beau’s lug Tread and Pommies apple cider, delicious. Great service, Erin the waitress was super friendly and helped us decide on our afternoon nature walk at Forks of the Credit park.

My first time at Ray’s Bistro was excellent! I ordered the spicy shrimp linguine — good sized portion and very flavourful! The restaurant has a nice atmosphere with live music as well. Would recommend for a date night. Definitely on the pricier side, but very delicious food!

Wow what a great surprise this place was. We found it on Unilocal after visiting the Badlands nearby and decided to give it a try after seeing some good reviews. I tried the organic beef burger while my wife enjoyed the mixed greens salad with goat cheese and both impressed. My small daughter even ate a whole bowl of the mushroom soup, we couldn’t believe it. Be sure to pick up some of the fresh baked goods on the way out, the butter tarts are amazing!

Rays bistro is very good! Always have the steak and it’s always cooked to perfection. Price is good too for a small restaurant like this. Live music, cozy atmosphere. Great place for a good eatin’

Pleasantly surprised! We had Saturday night dinner reservation and we had the pork tenderloin and spaghetti and veal meatballs. The menu had a lot to choose from and everything sounded great. I wish we had been hungrier and were able to have dessert here as well! The drink and wine menu was priced crazy-good. Wines by the bottle were priced less than the standard 100% mark up. Most of the patrons around us we recognized as guests from the Millcroft(like us) down the street, escaping the highway robbery that is Headwaters! Ray’s also had a solo musician playing in the front bakery part, playing Blue Rodeo, Joe Cocker… lots…and it was amazing. This place is seriously a gem. Make reservations for dinner!

The food was very fresh quality ingredient, cozy ambiance, the live entertainment music was really nice, good service, fresh bread and bakes good for you to take home. Price is excellent for the quality you get. I will go back. Make reservation it is busy.
