This Sunday I was taken by a friend which had the looks of a Swedish girl, pale skin, blondish hair. You might be asking what does all these has to do with the house’s experience? Sit tight and read it through. It’s a shady three story house, 1st floor just the doorman, 2nd floor a place to dance samba with a do mixing some samba hits, the 3rd is an open space with no roof, a secret garden, a circle of old friends playing samba, and around this circle people dancing. This house is all about dancing. Purely. All the sudden, a dude approach us, sweet talk to my friend and hands out a mystery purple drink. She drank it, we danced, we ate, then we went home, called her the next morning and she had no idea what happened after she took the drink. This place is fun and samba nights like this only happens on Sundays, it’s pretty fun, but be sure to order can drinks and make sure you are the one opening it. I had flashbacks of the movie Turistas in my head while in there.

A local friend brought us here for a little nightclub fun and it is worth checking out! A small cover charge gets you in as you make your way to the top floor which is essentially a covered patio. Get your drinks at the bar as you dance to the different varieties of music being played. If you are female, be prepared to be swooped up by a rhythmically timed guy trying to use«Dance Lessons» as an excuse to dance with you. Head down to the mid-floor where the beats are faster, the temperature is higher, and the amount of bodies rubbing against each other becomes nauseous. Head to the bathroom if you want to see what it looks like to have a port-o-potty as a bathroom in a nightclub. But seriously, toilets and sinks with no running water or locking doors? And I thought nightclub bathrooms couldn’t get worse. Finally, in Brasil, you pay for everything at the end of the night by heading over to the Cashier where people will cut you in line and the workers are rude. She gave me the total, I gave her cash, and then she proceeded to put the money in the drawer and then turn to [casually] talk to her friend next to her. Mind you, there is about 20 people in line behind me, there’s only 2 cashiers, and it is very crowded. I ask her for my change, she ignores me, and then just kinda stares at me. Finally, after I raised my voice at her(which didn’t really work since we couldn’t understand each other), she tossed my change at me and looked away. Just because I’m a foreigner she tried to swindle me of my change. So yeah, fun club, but they hire crooks as employees. Proceed with caution.
