For some time now I wanted to have my tragus pierced. To be honest, I am a bit of a chicken when it comes to pain. My husband’s daughter-in-law wanted to do the same. There must be strength in numbers because during our visit to Belgium, we headed off to La Main Bleue in St Ghislain to have the piercing done. From first impressions, tattoos are definitely the specialty at La Main Bleue. While I am not personally interested in a tattoo for myself, from the artwork on the walls it appeared their artists are both talented and creative. We stopped in on a whim with no appointment on a weekday just as they opened. Some of the artists were already at work. The shop was clean and everyone was strangely quiet — hard at work I assume. It took a few minutes for someone to greet us, but when they did I was happy to find they spoke English quite well. Definitely a bonus since I do not speak French. We explained what we wanted done — next thing you know the piercer was preparing the room and Meagan went on in. It seemed like it took a while, but it was probably just my nerves. I seriously considered backing out, but before you know it I was on the table with my head turned to the side and the needle going through my ear. The piercer did an awesome job not only telling me what to expect, but I honestly didn’t feel more than a very quick pinch. The pressure he had to place on my head/ear was worse than the actual piercing as was the crunch I heard as the needle poked through. He went through the after piercing care to ensure I had no issues and off we went. The price was reasonable, the piercer was professional and most importantly everything was clean. I have had no issues at all with my piercing and I haven’t been the best at following the after care instructions. I would highly recommend this salon if you were looking for piercing services.
