A fancy yet cute little Italian restaurant where you can see the chefs cooking! Just came for wine and dessert but it was amazing and we wish we came for dinner!

La cuisine avec vue sur la salle donne une ambiance vraiment chaleureuse, que l’on ressent d’emblée avec l’accueil très agréable. La carte n’est pas extrêmement développée, mais là, on comprend bien que la qualité a été privilégiée sur la quantité, et c’est … Tant MIEUX ! En outré, la carte standard fixe est toujours accompagnée d’une carte alternative qui évolue au fil du temps. Je suis venu au moins quatre reprises au cours des 6 derniers mois et à chaque fois, le rapport qualité/service/prix est à la hauteur de mes attentes, voire au-delà !

A fabulous Italian eatery that turns a lot of business around lunch time. Wandered around the EU commission and ended up seeing this place on the corner when searching for lunch. You are started with a nice slice of bread. Service was very kind, which is always appreciated! Like all European restaurants, it takes a longggg time to get through a meal. They make sure you slowly take your time with every single step before rushing your food out. Food: — Italian sampler appetizer: 4⁄5 Quite good! A spread of prosciutto, artichoke hearts, roasted bell pepper, sun dried tomato, salad, and some other knick knacks in there. Sun dried tomato was hard, and the salad was kinda overdressed. Other than that, really nice. — Fettucine tartufo– 4⁄5 Not sure if I spelled«tartufo» right… I think that’s how you say it! Anyway, my buddy got this pasta that came swirled in pesto, fresh basil, and half a tomato garden. Tomatoes were lovely and sweet. A truly excellent dish except that the pasta was a little too hard to be al dente… like… hard. Everything else about it was perfect. — Salmon tartare– 5⁄5 I got this as an entrée instead. I love how it’s served with cucumber and some mango to add some nice acidic and sweet notes in there. Served with tons of herbs. Definitely recommend you check this place out. The food is solid!

Excellent Food! Basic italian kitchen but on a decent upper level — plus very very tasty. I had Dourada Filet with Pasta and it was simply delicious! The others went for Pasta Dishes — everything was fresh made and spiced well. The service was extremly friendly. We felt at home and very welcome even though we came without a reservation on a friday night — pretty much a NoGo in Bruxelles. The owner found a way to squeeze us in. The place was packed but still it was pretty laid back eating experience. A definite recommation if you go to Bruxelles.

This is a great place for a tasty salad around the place Stephanie area. The service is really friendly and there is a terasse in the garden when the weather is nice. The salads menu is promising. I had the iberico salad which was full of Spanish flavors

Service lent et pas très agréable … On vous regarde de travers quand vous commander quelque chose qui n’est pas compris dans le menu… Quant à la qualité des plats, pour ma part, mon antipasto baignait dans l’huile tout comme mes pâtes d’ailleurs… Peut être un mauvais choix ?? En tout cas, je né reviendrai pas pour m’en assurer ! Je né comment pas le dessert… Du même acabit que le reste …

Je résumerais par«cher et long». Le prix sur place est 3 fois plus élevé qu’à emporter et le service né justifie pas cette marge. L’été dernier, la terrasse était envahie par une colonie de guêpes, pas très agréable lorsqu’on est entrain de manger. Le service est lent en semaine. Les produits sont de qualité mais les plats restent basiques: quiches, salades, sandwitchs chauds.

Quelques spécialités telles que le médaillon de veau aux morilles, les raviolis au crabe et Saint-Jacques, les raviolis noirs au homard… Des prix très abordables, un service aimable, une terrasse agréable… Que dire de plus pour vous convaincre que le Sel et Poivre est une bonne adresse du quartier européen.
