I completely agree with Bre H. Our family of 6 had the best time during our private workshop. Honestly, the experience was well ahead of expectations and I whole-heartedly recommend it! Our group included 2(slightly reluctant) Belgians who also came away saying what a fabulous experience it was. The owner is knowledgeable and creates a fun and educational workshop. Loved it!

Our family visited the store because it offered a chocolate making class and we wanted to sample some of that delicious Belgian chocolate we had heard so much about. Well this place was SO much fun and is great value for your money! It’s located very near Grand Place and was very easy to find. We were able to do a private chocolate making session since it was a Sunday and there were 6 of us travelling together. The session takes a little over an hour and you learn how to make all different kinds of chocolate. The best part is you get to take what you make home! The gentleman doing the demonstrations(the owner I believe) was entertaining, friendly, and taught us a lot about chocolate. The shop also sells all kinds of different chocolates, including chocolate high heeled shoes(GREAT gifts by the way!). This is was definitely the highlight of our trip and i cannot recommend the chocolate making class enough –kids, couples, families, solo!

I was looking for a place that would do demonstrations of how to make chocolate during my trip to Brussels. I contacted a few places regarding demos that individuals(rather than a group) can participate in and only Planete Chocolat responded. We had a great time there. We were given a cup of hot chocolate and several pieces of chocolates to try. You can volunteer to help make chocolates as well. The demo was very interactive and informative. The«instructor» speaks French and English, switching between the two throughout the demo. I recommend that you go and check it out. Be sure to arrive 15 minutes beforehand to buy tickets. It gets filled up pretty fast.

The chocolate ‘tour’ was a very engaging hour long demonstration of how the Belgians create such wonderful chocolates. In addition to seeing how the chocolates are prepared, you get a great view of how the cocoa is harvested and eventually makes it to the Chocolaterie. Our ‘teacher’ was very engaging and talented(he pulled off the class in Flemish, English and French without missing a beat). The interactive parts were fun, such as helping him create pralines. And, of course, the chocolates we sampled were great. Highly recommend if you have some time on your hands and wish to learn more about how these heavenly treats are made.

I came here with a group and had the honor to take part of the educational/chocolate tasting class. Once my group got settled down, we were immediately served with delicious hot chocolate. The«tour» or class was about 45 minutes long. Then this kind lady was able to explain in details about the origin of chocolate and general facts. For instance, reasons why chocolate is the best in Belgium. Also fresh chocolate is the best and should only last 6 — 8 weeks, any other pre-packaged chocolate’s quality that lasts longer than a few months simply cannot compre with fresh chocolate. A person in my group also had the honor to take part of making chocolate demo. It was a lot of fun watching that. I absolutely fell in love with this adorable store! They have chocolates that are presented in creative shapes. The price was okay. Remember, this is Europe(Belgium), so everything closes pretty early(although shops in Madrid opens late). They close at 6:30pm so make sure you come here early!

This lovely chocolate store, just around the corner from both Grand Place and Mannequin Pis, not only sells chocolate, but also offers educational opportunities those interested in the chocolate making process. Every Saturday and Sunday afternoon anyone can sign up to attend a 45min session. I did not have this chance, but I enjoyed looking around the shop and purchasing a milk chocolate«3» and a dark chocoloate«0» for an acquaintance’s 30th birthday.

A conseiler. Video link:
