Just off place Schuman is Henri & Agnes, a cosy, homely organic lunch spot that also does a very nice Sunday brunch. They prepare healthy and savoury plates of food; every product has been chosen with care, mostly bio-organic, local and seasonal. You’ll find this place inside the Chelton hotel. The room’s walls are covered in wooden panels and a glass ceiling that allows the natural light to shine through. It reminds me a little of the inside of Swiss cottage, and the atmosphere is certainly warming and cosy. Be warned though, in summer it can get a little too hot for my liking if you sit directly under the sun, then again that’s why they have an awesome terrace! Sunday brunch is a great time to go. A simple 25euro formula combines an eat as much as you like salad bar and you’ll also get a slow cooked egg or meat/fish of the day, with a scoop of goat’s cheese and honey. All of which is accompanied by some organic bread, a glass of juice and a choice of hot drink. To finish off, a platter with cake and a cup of yoghurt, granola and fruit. It is not a large buffet, but it all tastes great. The homemade vegetables and salads are all really tasty, I even went home and tried to duplicate a cauliflower & almond salad that I’d had. To some, it may of course be a little too simple, but personally I find that its originality lies in its simplicity.

You have to have a little patience… When I’m hungry, I don’t have any ;-) But… Nothing negative to report otherwise. When I finally got my food it was everything I wanted it to be. Healthy, fresh AND full of flavor! Cause I hate those ‘healthy’ spots that deliver flavorless food and hide behind the fact that it’s ‘good for you though’. Healthy can be tasty! The décor is rustic and relaxing, lots of wood… Good vibe. Great lunch spot that I won’t hesitate to visit again!

My favorite brunch place in Brussels !! They have a limited menu but it’s healthy and fresh. Only good stuff ! The lunch during the week are as nice as the brunch but might leave you still hungry if you don’t get any deserts ;) The place is also quite nicely decorated, I love the big tables to share with other people or to go with your group of friends. The small tables for 2 are actually too long and will make you feel far from the person you are with. The service is good, but can be really slow These are the only minor criticisms I have, other than that I love that place and their food :)

I don’t think I will be able to express in words how much I like this place and the concept behind it. The food, the service, the design atmosphere are just amazing. The choice of ingredients and combination are simply unique which makes this place one of its kind! A must try !!! I have not tried the brunch yet(every first Sunday of the month) but I will do so very soon. Don’t hesitate to follow them on Facebook too they give great news and tips about their weekly menus.

Sped through a couple times to take out some great dishes and soups. Extremely tasty and was a fan of both the lamb dish and Jerusalem artichoke(Topinambour) x Hazelnut soup. Not only are the dishes’ ingredients of top notch quality but they take care in providing you with amazing bread also( ). Tasty delight !

Hidden little gem in the heart of Brussels! Food is fresh and simple, yet their are unique little twists and combinations to each dish! Henri & Agnes will definitely make you discover new flavors. And the food always looks amazingly beautiful too!

I discovered the place this week. The food is simple but great. It is an art to propose simple food so tastefully. Afterwards we talk a «café gourmand» and went on the terrace on the roof of the building, woaw, with the sun glowing we stayed for more than a hour on the terrace.

The place is normally open Mon-Fri, and it’s unreachable if you do not live/work in the area of Schuman. So, when I heard that from the beginning of 2014, they started offering Brunch every first Sunday of the month, we literally jumped on it! Sunday morning(book in advance, you can choose between 11h30 or 13h30). We walked through Cinquantenaire and that’s super nice. Just puts you already in the mood for a relaxing brunch. The place is well hidden, you have to walk in the Hotel lobby :) Few tables, fixed menu for the Brunch, price 25EUR. It includes: freshly pressed fruit juice of the day, coffee or tea, water à volonté, a cold salty and sweet buffet(including homemade yoghurt, granola, pastries, homemade bread, fresh goat cheese, salmon…), on top you can order salty and sweet crepes! The food is great. Organic, local products. The presentation is well thought: a mix of wooden traditional and trendy design. All in all a very nice spot, out of the way from the chaos and near Cinquantenaire to start/continue your Sunday with a stroll. Only thing to improve: the salty menu was not very rich and the coffee took ages to be done(only one machine!). The best part was also getting showed to the roof top, where they have a wonderful terrace with a great view. On a sunny day, that’s the place to be. I hope they will open it as a brunch spot in summer! PS: Very active on Twitter&Instagram&Facebook. But don’t watch around lunchtime or you’ll get hungry!

This is a little best kept secret in Brussels. It’s located in the back next to a hotel(so go through a «lobby» before you get to the restaurant). Perfect for a lunch in a great setting. Very limited menu(3 – 4) items with all organic ingredients. Of course the food was great too, I went there for a lunch with friends. You order at the counter from the daily menu, everything is brought to your table. Try one of the teas from Herboristerie Modern or just ask for some fresh water with mint. Overal, great place to eat organic and wonderful atmosphere, and if the weather permits you can go for a walk in the Jubel park and the Cinquantenaire which is located 5min walk from the location.
