Stand das Motto Afrika im Mittelpunkt Der Blumenteppich ist sehr beeindruckend und setzt den sonst schon sehr schönen Grote Markt mit all seinen Gilden Häusern perfekt in Szene Tip: Aus den Fenstern des hardrock Cafés sieht man den Blumenteppich perfekt und kostenfrei !! Achtung der Blumenteppich wir nur alle 2 Jahre aus gelegt

Quand le tapis de fleur nous fait honneur a la grande place je né peux que me déplacer pour aller l’admirer J’aime beaucoup je trouve ça très romantique

The floral carpet is one of those things that most visitors to Belgium see on every single postcard, but rarely get to experience live. It takes a certain degree of planning — first of all, you have to go in an even year (there was one this year, the next is in 2010), then there are the exact dates of the carpet as it only lasts for two weeks. And just when you’ve cracked all that, turning up to Grand Place and looking at a sea of petals from ground level isn’t particularly impressive, so you need to go the final mile and pay EUR3 or so to get into the Town Hall, queue up patiently, climb the steps to the tower and view it from above on the balconies (though to be fair, you pass some excellent and interesting rooms in the Town Hall as you wait to get to a balcony).
It’s worth it though. The 2006 carpet had rotating flowerbeds on, and when you consider just how many thousands of flowerheads have been diligently pressed into moss, it makes Derbyshire well dressing look like child’s play.

Cada año, en agosto, con begonias traídas de los cultivos de Flandes se representa un tapiz en toda la supercicie de la Grande Place y es absolutamente precioso!
Ese día hay un bullicio increíble en la Plaza aunque, por razones obvias, uno no puede acercarse demasiado. Eso sí, huele fenomenal. Esto, unido a que no es para nada caro (cosa de 2 – 3 euros) hace que sea una visita obligada si vuestra estancia en Bruselas coincide con la Alfombra Floral!
Durante el resto del año se hacen cosillas a menor escala en la Grande Place (algunos mercados para promocionar otros productos belgas del campo), pero no hay nada comparable al día de las flores

Vom 15.-17. August war wieder der berühmte Blumenteppich auf dem Grand Place. Vom Balkon des Rathauses (3 Euro Eintritt) hat man einen tollen Blick auf den Platz. Alle 2 Jahre wird diese Attraktion durchgeführt und sie ist sehr sehenswert.
2010 ist der nächste Blumenteppich.
