Starfish & Coffee

Amazing sandwiches and coffees. Only place in antwerp which has 10 different kind of coffees apart from star bucks.

My boyfriend and I couldn’t decide if this was a Belgian style coffee place and the staff was just being incredibly rude ignoring us or if this was an American style place and we just weren’t being assertive. Either way, had a nice drink here. Was hard to see everything on the menu because of the general lack of organization, but what I could make out looked interesting. I’ll have to give it another shot sometime.

The weather was really beautiful and sunny and my husband and I decided to go for a nice, long walk and we stopped by Starfish & Coffee. The coffee is outstanding and my ginger lemonade was soooo delicious! To me a ginger drink has to be a bit spicy and the ginger lemonade didn’t disappoint! To pair with my ginger drink I ordered a slice of banana bread. All of the reviews on Unilocal were about the muffins, but I was in the mood for a slice of sweet bread and was a bit disappointed. It was okay but not outstanding. So if I go again I will give the muffins a try!
But I’ll warn you — be careful where you sit. Because it’s a whole foods/​eco friendly type café, you run the chance of sitting next to smelly people. We had to switch seats. Even the barista had to open the back door when they left to air out the place a bit haha.

Love this place! Super cute, very Brooklyn style. I just really really wish that they would serve breakfast all day! Nothing special just eggs, some bacon, few omelettes and bread.

Cutest coffee shop ever! I love the owner, décor, latte and delicious fresh muffin! Kitty cat is just the right touch. :)

Best creamy ginger tea in town, combined with the Amazing White chocolate/​berry muffin,. I am in food Heaven,… If you’re looking for me I ll be there tomorrow,.
