Danube Tower Restaurant

Now this is a restaurant like no other. For one it is way way way above land and constantly on the move.
This restaurant is on top of the Danube tower over looking the Danube river and the beautiful city of Vienna.
Compared to the rest of the city getting to the Danube tower is a little bit cumbersome but once there it is a treat. The restaurant is by reservation only but when we got there they were super nice and said what the heck and still gave us an amazing table.
The food is done to perfection and even though we did not try everything on the menu I can vouch that whatever you try will be delicious and done to perfection.
Plus the views make the food even more tasty. A major recommendation is to go there specially if you are visiting. Perfect place for a perfect meal at a perfect city!!!

One of the best ways to spend my birthday day. I got to see amazing views of Wien City, Danube river, and eat fantastic food.
The tower is nice but super windy outside (May). We took many pictures. But the restaurant was the highlight. Most days and times you need a reservation. I recommend you to check their website and book your reservation to the restaurant. We tried to book the reservation the night before and the restaurant was completely booked. So, we did the sneaky way to a reservation by saying we accidentally booked for the next week and we won’t even be here because we are tourists etc. Anyways, the hostess bought our lame story. Yay, and I got to celebrate my bday in style.
The service was spot on. Our server was super attentive. Explained the menu and the many options. The bread they start off with was amazing and came with different types of butter etc. I had a vegetarian pasta which had a unique green sauce. The pasta was light and delightful. The hubs had a yummy broiled fish entrée with veggies. For my birthday dessert I had chocolate mousse with fruits on the side which was a hit as well.
Great restaurant to go on vacation, special occasion, or just because… ~

Had lunch here today. It is good but not awesome. The view is spectacular however the rotating floor was not pleasurable. The Wiener Schnitchel was good although we have had much better. Good service. I might go again.

I highly recommend the tower restaurant for anyone with 3 days in Vienna. Come before sunset to see the city.
On a Monday eve we needed no reservation, other days you might. The ride up the tower costs 10 euro. The food is good Vienna fare at no more than you pay elsewhere. Good service, amazing views. A Delight.
