Anesis

Good breakfast café. I usually have the sweet stuff (French toast or pancakes). Both are pleasing without being overblown. And you can add whatever you like to anything (bacon, chorizo, berries, etc.)

Recently had a friend move into the Yeronga area and kept driving past this little café paradise on Hyde Rd. Determined to try it out, we made our way down on a Sunday morning for a sweet pre work (yes, work, on a Sunday… That’s retail life!) breakfast. So we had to choose between Hyde out and Anesis… We clearly chose Anesis.
Arriving, we strolled up to the counter for a menu, the staff then offered to help us find a table. We sat down outside and took it all in. it had an active, lively family feel too it. It was buzzing with families, couples, and… Yes, the Lycra-​loving tour de’ corso crew. It was all in all a pleasant atmosphere. We perused the well optioned menu and ordered a mocha and flat white, French toast and breakfast wrap. They were delivered in pretty prompt fashion, which was good as we were on a schedule with work and all. Both meals were generous servings, the breakfast wrap was delicious, the mocha pretty standard (as good as a mocha should be, but ‘The Rare Pear’ is my benchmark for almost everything café related, and that’s a high bar) and the general consensus from my breakfast buddy on the French toast and flat white was above average.
Would highly recommend to anyone looking for a good feed, in a nice hidden away place that’s busy enough to people watch, but not annoyingly packed…

Verrry good!, great staff, great food very tidy establishment. The only thing is they shouldn’t limit the menu in terms of not having an all day breakfast (only am) and a BLT out of hours (only pm). I would return for sure.

Excellent food + staff. Huge portion sizes, and the staff were lovely enough to let us take our leftovers home. The place was completely packed out, but food came quickly and the service was great.
