Delamere Playground

Three stars for originality Delamere Playground! I haven’t seen a playground quite like this before. Located on the corner of Julia Cres and Delamere Ave, there is a mound. Not just any mound. It is a mound of running up and sliding down pleasure. Ok, so the actual equipment isn’t that great, but even as an adult I was excited by the different structure and set up of this playground.
It is quite literally a mound. Two slides and two climbing frames come off from it and there’s some swings nearby. See what I mean? Not REALLY a whole lot to get excited about, but it’s nice to see something a bit different, no matter how old it may be.
I think this playground would be a bit more attractive in winter when the lawn could get really lush and lovely. It might even inspire some children and grown-​up children to roll down the banks of the playground. It’s worth mentioning that the slides are metal… and well worn so check to see how hot they are before bottoms get toasty.
There is absolutely no shade! The swings might get some from near by trees but the bench seats and playground are all open and exposed. It would be completely reasonable to take a blanket and sit under some trees a little walk away but take some water, the drink fountain is lacking some drink.
