Nice place. I’m not really the grooming type, but I had a good experience with these guys all round. I booked to come in here, but had to cancel the first time last minute, which was no problem with them at all. Second time I came in and although I’m not good at describing what I need exactly, James figured it out and did a great job. Very precise and careful with his cutting, and I left very happy with the cut and vibe of the place. I was a bit zonked out from working overnights recently, but I noticed a small bar and coffee machine and good music playing. I’d def return, and probably on a weekend too so could chill more and have a drink while at it. :)

I am so disappointed in having to change my review after my last visit. I had a very special day in December planned(wedding), so I booked 2 «Groom’s Day Out» packages which consisted of: 1hr facial, midtown massage, manicure and pedicure 165mins — $ 285, plus added the additional items: Beard shaping 30 mins(include cut throat tidy and lining) — $ 39 and Head shave 30 mins — $ 39. I booked both over a month and ½ in advance. On the Saturday before the wedding, we show up at Manhor on Little Collins at 8AM ready to get all tidied up. Rob opens the shop at 8 and we walk in. Another gentleman also shows up and ask if Rob can take him this morning, a sound engineer friend it seems. Well I go to the back to start on my facial and my partner is going to start with the haircut, beard shaping and cut throat shave. What really happened was my partner had to sit and wait for 40 minutes while this other guy got a haircut. In the back after my facial, very express manicure(barely filed the edges) and no pedicure, and a massage, I emerged to find out the story. I am told that I’ll get a discount since they didn’t have time for the full package and we didn’t get a pedicure. What the heck? Not enough time, making my partner wait 40 minutes to begin with, when I had booked this VERY special day over a month in advance? I can not tell you how disappointed I was that my partner and I were short changed in this situation. There is nothing that can really be done at this point to make up the lack of caring and poor business practice.

Best place I have ever been for make grooming. From haircuts to waxing. Rob has an amazing range of products. I even get my entire head shaved. Mention me to get a free drink!

Walked past this hidden place and thought, hell why not. I had Gemma and she was awesome. So friendly and professional. It was great to have someone who can hold a conversation unlike others in the industry which are so robotic. Will definatly be comming back here!

This sleek and beautiful salon is a definite find. Rob is the owner and he is always there and takes a ton of pride in his great business. Black walls, sleek furniture, a few seats out in front, and BEST of all(well, aside from the great cuts) you’re always offered a coffee or a cocktail/beer while you’re waiting. I used to go to a guy named Max who moved back from France. Since then I have seen three stylists depending on who is available, and have been so happy with each of them. My hair is tough to cut but leave each Manhor visit a happy guy. I also find the value to be good — reasonably priced, great setting, great service, happy people, good music, awesome hair cuts, personal attention and a cold beer to boot.
