Mussel Pool West

With Whiteman park covering such a substantial area of land, it has been segregated into a few sections– the two main sections being the village and Mussel pool. Luckily they haven’t been too tricky with the names so Mussel pool east and mussel pool west are fairly self explanatory.
Mussel pool west is just below the Birds of prey arena (where several bird shows take place) and is the proud facilitator of the Mussel pool kiosk. There are several car parks that are really close to the pool as well as a pleasant bike track that runs across this section, right around the pool and also over to the east side (and beyond, should you so choose.) There are three bridges over the pool, all of which are on the west side and having the toilet facilities that little bit closer makes the west side a tad more convenient.
You’d be hard pressed finding anywhere around Mussel pool that wasn’t beautiful, but for me, the best is in the west.
