My Lovely Laundrette

Conveniently located off Cambridge St (behind the Wembley Hotel), this is a no-​frills laundrette. They offer 12 washing machines and 12 dryers.
The washing machines are 6.5 to 8kg capacity with one 15kg machine, and they have both front and top loading machines. The smaller machines cost $ 4 to operate, and the larger are $ 5 per load.
The dryers are heavy duty machines which are extremely efficient at drying! $ 2 for the first 15 mins then $ 1 for each 7 mins thereafter. I’ve found that my loads of towels usually take no more than $ 3 to dry.
There are no coin change machines so make sure you bring enough $ 1 and $ 2 coins with you — they do not accept any silver coins either!
I’d like to say they’re open 24 hours, but I’m not certain of that. Perhaps open until 10pm? Will need to investigate and update my review when I know for sure.
