Visiting Warrnambool I had a tip to try the café on Lava street, aptly named Café Lava, and I’m glad I did(so glad I visited twice). The spacious room is neatly decorated with local artwork and giftware(mostly for purchase). Behind the barista is a wall of tea varieties — I’m a coffee fan so I can’t comment on these but the selection is huge. Little treats adorn the front of the coffee counter, tempting caffine pilgrims as they pass. I think they do food as well, but I only had coffee so I’m not 100% sure. From my infrequent visits to Warrnambool, I have found really good coffee in only a few places around the town and surrounding countryside. I am happy to report that Café Lava is in that distinguished company.
